The Cecil is obviously an institution. That being said, our experience was mixed. The atmosphere is wonderful. The decoration is beautiful. The waiter who looked after us was incredibly kind and present. The starters were really good... But then the mains were satisfactory to disappointing. The meats were all over cooked and one person on our table got the wrong cut of meat. After a few back and forth, it turns out the kitchen made a mistake... But nothing was done about it. We ordered lava cakes for desert and received something different... Again, nothing was done to correct the situation. Our waiter was terribly embarrassed and apologized on behalf of the kitchen and management. The overall experience was fun, and we're happy we visited, but for the price paid, we would have liked less mistakes or more done by management to correct them.

I rarely/never give places 5 stars, but baby, this place is amazing! The food was soooo good. I had the soup and a shrimp salad. But I also got to taste my friends plates. They had steak, lamb and fried chicken. It was alll VERY GOOD. The ambiance was top notch. We got to dance with the person putting on the amazing show. I could go on all day... I would come back here again and again.

The music was great, but the drinks and meal was sub par. Entertainment was so-so. The Empanadas were good, but they were bite sized, Wings were edible, Spare Ribs had too much sauce for my liking. I wasn't feeling the vibe at The Cecil Steakhouse.

Coming in and entering the bar area, I was the 1st of a group to dine for Saturday brunch. They had the World cup soccer game playing so it took my attention for a while. We were also greeted by Rosa who was very welcoming.  It's only when we were all there and they sat us down is when I met our server Awilda. She is such an asset here. She is the epitome of customer centric service. She is friendly already and she knows the menu very well. She made both the suggestions for drinks and food. Both were on point. She is ready to please the customers of this establishment.  Even though she had several tables, she was consistently on top of her tables. She constantly checks in to make sure everything is going well.

The other guy is from Senegal, I think he said Antoni. Even while I was waiting at the bar area, he was engaging and friendly. He also was paying attention to the tables making sure things were cleared.  It was truly a nice experience and definitely thanks to Awilda for her dedication to the restaurant.

I accidently ran into this place. I have been in the neighborhood for 20 years and never knew of this place. The decor was beautiful and jazz looking. Service was wonderful and the food was great. They even had a comedy show available the night I was there. I simply sat at the bar.

Went again the following week to imtroduce my friend to this place for drink and food. She loved it.
