We came here on a last-minute change of plans (re: hangry and desperate), otherwise I don't think I'd ever have willingly entered.

Villa Mosconi is your tough, blue-collar Italian uncle in restaurant form. The interior is old, dingy and depressing. The furniture feels stuffy, the wall decor feels outdated--everything is just '80s Sopranos. Right down to the service--the one highlight--which was friendly in a gruff and tough kind of way.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't impressive enough to make up for these other drawbacks. Our Stuffed Zucchini Flowers were still frozen inside (sigh). The Veal Ravioli Special was decent, but my Paglia e Fieno featured overcooked noodles in congealed sauce.

Not my vibe, but there's a certain type of NYC clientele that love this kind of place. So to them I say, go forth and pasta.

I actually really enjoyed everything about this place. The food was good. The ambiance was great. The service was amazing as well. Price was decent. Thank you to our waiter, Kenny. He really made the experience better. Only thing I was was that the dishes were presented a little better but honestly it fits the place 😅

This is, hands down, the best Italian food I have eaten. We had a party of six and all tried a wide variety of foods from the menu - each being perfectly prepared.  The drink selection was great, the wait staff fantastic and the ambience perfect.  If I am ever back in New York, this is my go to location for dinner.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me like family. My visit was for a birthday dinner on a Saturday, and we enjoyed a delightful family-style meal. The dishes seemed to never end, each one more delectable than the last. The timing was impeccable, as they skillfully transitioned us to desserts, as if it had been orchestrated from the start. The house-made Limoncello was a delightful finale that left a lasting impression. I wholeheartedly recommend this place – it's a must-visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

En besvikelse upplevelse när det gäller mat från början. At 1 : 30 på en lördag var vi de enda i stora matsalen — en skylt! Brödet och brödpinnarna var gamla. Jag beställde en sallad som jag sa till vår server att jag skulle dela med min man. Han tog med sig en dubbel portion som han ploppade framför mig. Jag sa att jag bara beställde en sallad. Han tog med den tillbaka till köket och återvände med en portion, vilket var gott för salladen, tomaterna och gurkorna var blöta, och ”vinägretten” smakade som urvattnad vinäger. Jag beställde pasta marinara, eftersom jag är vegetarian, och det fanns få alternativ för mig på menyn. Helt smaklös. Det smakade som överdriven pasta med en burk uppvärmd tomatsås hälld över. Min man beställde en laxrätt som han sa var intetsmakande. Jag smakade på hans tillbehör av grönsaker som bestod av tre skivor mosiga morötter, två broccoliblommor som var hårda som en sten och en mosig potatiskrokett. Medan vi väntade på våra förrätter borrade en arbetare för att reparera en dörr några meter från vårt bord! En av våra vänner i vårt parti frågade om de kunde sluta eftersom det gjorde det så bullrigt att vi knappt kunde höra varandra. Tack och lov gjorde de det, men jag förstår inte varför reparationen inte kunde ha gjorts under lågtrafik. Servicen var okej, men jag skulle inte rekommendera denna plats.
