Stopped by tonight with a friend to grab a couple stromboli.  Decided to have a beer while we waited.  Unbelievable service at both the order window and bar.  Red Oak on tap along with daily drink specials, super fun bar atmosphere with a laid-back vibe, and a very generous host when I needed extra dipping sauces for the food.  The bartender handled the entire room evenly, as well, which is a nice surprise.  The room was warm, welcoming, and maybe even a little potential to get rowdy in a friendly way over bar trivia.

The stromboli was next-level good.  Stuffed with amazing cheese and meats, and the sausage seems to be a boudin-blanc style sliced thin...it's perfect for the Italian flavor without overpowering the sweet and salty crust, spicy pepperoni, or the chewy cheese.  Seriously might have been the best stromboli I've ever had.

I hadn't been in years but this is now my go-to spot for anything Italian street-food (hand food, not street food, my bad...they have everything from pizza to chicken parm to arancini).  You can grab a beer with a friend while you wait for them to fire your pizza/stromboli/calzone and not only will it be a chill time, it'll make you understand the difference between paying for quality and paying for the garbage that's available just up the road at the same price.

I can't say enough good things about this experience.  I'm only sorry that my camera can't do this justice.

Best pizza place I've ever been to. Every time I'd visit town i had to order from here. Every friend I've told about the place has thanked me profusely and sung its praises in return.

It's sad though. My only real complaint about the place is that I can't eat pizza from anywhere else without wishing I'd gotten some from here instead.

Really good made to order pizza! After you order, you can watch them make your pizza through the window. My friends had the veggie pizza, wings, and buffalo chicken pizza. I just had a sweet tea and a cannoli. The cannoli was super sweet (a little too sweet for me), which may have been because of the chocolate drizzle on top. I tried both pizzas and I was pleasantly surprised with the veggie pizza! It was really tasty. The buffalo pizza was just ok. Every employee we interacted with was super friendly and the owners made sure we had everything we needed when we got our food. They have a nice variety so if I’m ever in the area, I’d go to try some other things. Super nice people and good pizza close to UNCG!

Great little place to eat with outstanding Italian style pizza and subs, as well as other selections to choose from. Right there across from UNCG offers a wide variety of different people to interact and mingle with at the bar located within NY Pizza that's separate from the restaurant. They have live music as well which offers an added element to their already cozy bar area.
