This is 12 years in the making, but here it is. I used to do business with this hotel owner. It was business that was separate from the hotel. For some reason he put my mobile phone number as the rollover number for his hotel. I started getting calls from people looking for payment and I had to explain that there was a mistake and my number wasn't the right one. For YEARS I'd tell him that I am still getting calls...until one day he blocked me. I got another call at 6:53 this morning. Anyone know if I have a case to sue him? If he owes you money and you call this hotel looking for it, there is a good chance that you'll end up getting me on my phone.

A huge disappointment. So poorly staffed front desk that they couldn't even give me an accurate landmark to help me find them. The address provided by any GPS on Corporate Center drive will lead you straight into a gravel put or construction site no matter how many times you go back and repeat your attempt to locate that hotel. Called the front desk two to three times and an apparently untrained staff member consistently failed to understand that after a 7 hour drive from out of state, I had no way to know the hotel was set back off the highway behind a large section of trees hidden from view. She kept repeating, well we are right here ( where we are supposed to be) without saying, you should take a right turn into the parking lot instead of running directly into the construction site looming out of the landscape directly in front of you. I was exasperated! So I went the other way in Corporate Center Drive and located the kind welcoming hosts at the gorgeous Hyatt Place I have now also reviewed. As soon as I checked in there, I called the well disguised Wingate at Wyndham that I had spent an unsuccessful hour looking for, and asked for a cancellation. The same brilliant mind who could not think to tell me to take a right turn before the gravel out, now refuses to give me a refund. In fact, she rudely did so. In response to my call and request to cancel I should have been told, " I am sorry I wasn't able help you find your way in all 3 of your conversations with me. I will gladly return your money with my apologies." I was spoken to disrespectfully and denied a refund. I have since disputed the charge and received communication asking me who I had spoken to and when. I would have thought they would have known whom if their own staff was on duty in the evening of July 2nd at around 6:00 pm. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in their first visit to the area. They are not only invisible, but poorly staffed, and apparently backed up to a dirty noisy construction area that surely would have led to a dirty car, and loud construction noise. Fair warning, travelers. Do not book at the Wingate at Wyndham in Corporate Center Drive, Raleigh/ Cary Nc. Cross the highway and run don't walk across the highway to Hyatt Place. One of the best travel decisions you will ever make! BTW the cost of a room at W at W is considerably more than the gorgeous Hyatt Place. Read it and weep Corporate Wyndham!

Disgusting rooms, rude and unproffessional management that refuse to reimburse for their blood stained room with God knows what on the chair. I drove 12+ hours to arrive here, and there were no other available hotels around. Would not let anyone I care about waste $130 for this unkept place. E-mailed "manager" whose response to the poor conditions was "Got it." Not sure if it was his first day or if they just deal with this so often that they dont even think about it anymore. Was told a dozen times someone from Wynhdam would contact me which never happened. Their final resolution from the supervisor at customer service the 5th time I called was a few points for a discounted room. You're better off sleeping outside.

Must stay. The front desk Denise, Teri professional and helpful. Breakfast Steven was kind to show me around. Kierra was great about getting me extra towels. Mr. Burke works hard, polite and very helpful. The night time front desk staff man and lady both asked is there anything else i need to make my stay more comfortable. Loved it. I worked at Disney Resorts this is amazing and reasonably priced. Comfortable, professional, and very kind. Anything you need is here. I will stay again. Thank you.

Stayed overnight while in town for an event. The room was so humid, everything felt wet to touch including the linens and pillows. Just very uncomfortable. The wall thermostat wouldn't turn on but I was able to turn on the window A/C unit. I thought it would help with the humidity but I just ended up cold and feeling like I'm staying in a pineapple under the sea. My room only had 1 body towel. Shower created a massive puddle on the floor. Breakfast was mid. Staff is nice. Hotel gets the job done but I wouldn't want to stay for more than a night.

If I could give zero stars just based on their customers service I would. I have stayed with Wyndham on multiple occasions without issue, but this experience made me never want to stay with the chain again. I show up in the room and the microwave and all the side table and dresser drawers are wide open and there is a tag from a previous tenant's clothes on the chair. This made me wonder how well the room was even cleaned. The location was good, but there are other available hotels in the area that I will certainly consider over this one in the future. The icing on the cake, I did end up staying the night, I woke up at 8am and there is no electricity in the hotel. A tree hit a power line and everything was down. I had a very important business meeting to attend and I could not see to put my makeup on or do my hair so I didn't look like a total mess. I literally had to go to a local Starbucks who were kind enough to let me use a mirror there to curl my hair and do my makeup. On top of it, the only thing offered for breakfast was a yogurt cup or a pre-packed muffin. It was supposed to be a full buffet included in the stay. This is of course how I ended up at Starbucks having to pay for an actual breakfast. There was not even an apology from the hotel about the outage upon checkout. I wrote the hotel about my experience and they said they would respond in 1-2 days. A week later I still heard nothing and was charged full price for the stay. I then called corporate and they basically gaslit me telling me it was out of line for me to ask for a discount on the room when the full services were not rendered for my stay since it was an act of god that caused the outage and wasn't the hotels fault. They were rude and dismissive and I was extremely taken back. I ended up calling my credit card company to dispute this because I am at a loss. I wasn't even asking for a full refund. A promotion on another room would have been sufficient since I stayed with them often. Needless to say, with that being my experience with the one time I had to call them to dispute anything only to be dismissed and belittled, I will not be staying at this hotel again, let alone a Wyndham chain.

Overall the hotel looks nice. On the surface. Our bathroom had mildew all along the the edge where the wall meets the top of the bathtub. Very disappointing. Also, went to get ice and my key card didn't work, so I went back to the room and got my husbands card. Went back and that card also didn't work. Called the desk to ask about it and was told that the 3rd floor ice machine wasn't working so I worked need to come to the first floor for ice. An out of order sign would have been nice. Also a "sorry for the inconvenience" would have gone a long way.

The exterior of the hotel was well-maintained, front desk staff was friendly and extremely efficient. The lobby was decorated well and the room was clean. This hotel looks like it's been updated recently! The bedding was fresh and comfy. I will definitely come back when I'm in Raleigh again.

It has the potential to be a decent place to spend the night. Unfortunately it smelled terrible in our room. Like old ketchup. The stains on the floor and couch were disgusting. To top it off, customer service was non existent. Maybe this is the way of things now. I booked the room for 3 people. The pull out couch was not ready nor were sheets provided. Gave us 2 towels. When I requested another towel they wanted me to come get it. I paid $214 for 1 night...how about a little customer service. Me, my husband and teenage son piled into one king bed. Light on outside of window and train in the middle of the night. Worst hotel experience ever!

The hot water doesn't work, I've taken cold showers all week. The breakfast area isn't maintained at all. When I ask the breakfast attendant to refill the eggs and sausage she got an attitude and never did. I'm no microwave chief but I say there for almost 30 minutes waiting I. Eggs and sausage and never got them. There is t any room service to speak of. We had to ask for fresh towels because they don't clean daily I guess. On the brother side of life, the front desk staff weee extremely nice. Would not recommend this place Al all.
