My sister and I came here tonight while vacationing in Los Olivos. We were fortunate to have David as our server. He made thoughtful recommendations, was generous with his time, and checked in often throughout our meal. The entire experience was perfection.

Such a lovely gem of a place in Los Olivos! Great location, great ambience, great staff, and above all, superior food. We had breakfast in the room with the fireplaces, and also in the tavern itself, and I will say, we preferred the area with the fireplaces. Nothing beats having an enjoyable meal with the one you love, or with family and listening to the crackling of the fireplace. Be sure to stop here if you're driving thru Santa Barbara county. You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I went with some friends and had an incredible time. The drinks were strong and expertly crafted, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. The food was even better. The Tavern Burger is a standout—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely to die for. My wife opted for the filet mignon, and it was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and flavorful with every bite.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the entire experience felt relaxed yet special. The combination of great food, strong drinks, and the unique setting made it one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. I can't recommend Mattei’s Tavern enough. A solid 10/10 for both the food and the atmosphere
