The most wonderful time of the year is upon us again and that means Sounds baseball is back!!! Nashville Sounds is Nashvilles hometown Minor League Baseball Team and are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. First Horizon Park is situated in Germantown and is easily one of the best minor league parks in the country! Not a bad seat on the house, great food options, mini golf, batting cages, a softball field, excellent clubhouse store and the best bar serving up boozy orangecicle slushes! Outside of the park being amazing, the Sounds are a solid baseball team that constantly delivers to the local fan base! Hopes are that Nashville soon lands an MLB franchise, but in the meantime The Sounds do quite well satisfying the local baseball needs of Nashville. Overall, we love the Nashville Sounds and First Horizon Park! Go Sounds!

We have wanted to visit the Nashville Sounds Triple-A club for several years. We want to view their massive guitar scoreboard; believe me, it is most impressive. We went to a game with a special giveaway, a Vihuelas de Nashville Scarf Giveaway. The crowd started to arrive two hours before game time since the giveaway was limited to the first 1,000 fans. Since it was our first time at the ballpark, I was unaware of where to park; I noticed a parking garage next to the stadium called First Horizon Park Parking. The wife asked some locals about parking there since the website for the Sounds states, "There will be a fee associated with this garage. The parking garage is NOT available Monday through Friday before 5:30 p.m." That's what deters a lot of fans from venturing out to unknown destinations: the stress of parking. Again, it was right next to the ballpark and free. Zero issues. Next, we purchased tickets at the ticket window and waited two hours for the gates to open. We received our scarves and walked around checking out the stadium's features. We quickly noticed several features that differed from other Triple-A clubs--enough said. Stop and check out a game if you're in the Nashville area or passing through on a game day.

Always a fun time at Nashville Sounds games! They involve the community in serval ways. For example, last night a local high school sang the National Anthem. Stadium is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of food options, variety of seating options and ticket prices.

I want to like the Sounds more than I do, but it really is hard with all the problems I've seen. I live in Nashville and am just up the road, and I love Baseball, and I really love Minor League Baseball. However between the awful parking situation, the expensive prices compared to other ballclubs (Like the Bowling Green Hot Rods, and the Huntsville Trash Pandas, which are a lot less expensive across all metrics), and also the lack of community outreach as they don't really connect with Nashville people or organizations well. Most egregiously, The Sounds don't do much to honor Veterans at games, which is glaring as this is Tennessee. Frankly I'm shocked that they are so blase about it. When even Northern Teams like the Worcester Red Sox, The Hartford Yard Goats honor Retired Military Vets AT EVERY GAME. Heck, even the New York Yankees do that! Naturally, it's just weird compared to other Southern League teams like the Bowling Green Hot Rods, The Huntsville Trash Pandas, The Chattanooga Lookouts, The Tennessee Smokies, and from what I heard, The Memphis Redbirds and The Louisville Bats ALL honor Vets at each game. It's not seemingly a Nashville issue, as the Predators do their part as well, making a point to honor Vets at all the games. Bottom line is, it is glaring and frankly kind of embarrassing. In conclusion, The Sounds come off as cold, corporate, aimed more at tourists than locals, expensive, feckless about the community and Veterans, and generally antiseptic and unfriendly. I am always disappointed when I go, and feel like a sucker everytime. I want to like them, but I don't. Most people say that they lost their heart and soul when they left Greer Field in 2015. That seems to be true. I wish my home team was cooler, but they are not. I hate hitting the road to go see the Hot Rods or Trash Pandas, but that seems to be the better bet.

The stadium is nice and on a great night its wonderful to watch a game. But the concessions need improvement. My cheeseburger was cold and a piece of cheese slapped on top, not melted, burger was cold. The pretzel not fresh, dried out. The brats were not worth the money or time in line. Good cold beer! Next time I'll eat before.

Had an excellent adventure and family time at the Sounds game. Private seating with our own dedicated servers was great and had a nice view of the field and the fans. Food was tasty and beer was cold. No cash used and no smoking inside the venue.

I love coming to games here! There's something for everyone to enjoy! We love the lawn seating. We bring blankets, lay out and Enjoy! Mini golf is fun, lots of food options (even though the lines are typically terribly long), and great scenery! We've caught a ball during the game, and have even found ourselves up on the jumbotron!

Idiotic purse policy, purse was 1mm too large when they pushed it flat damn near breaking my wife's sunglasses - location of stadium isn't great either, better off just grabbing a cold beer somewhere else!!
