One of the best places we’ve visited in a long time!
First, I want to highlight the service, it was amazing! The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive, making it a pleasure to dine here.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. We had the salmon salad, steaks, and ice cream (OMG, it was incredible, with very unique flavors!).

I will definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

Went just for their amazing WOAP Burger but then ended up ordering their Signature. The food was amazing, and they take the time to walk you through the story and process behind it. I ordered their Signature Beef Wellington, and for dessert, I went with the Dark Chocolate Fondant. Both were absolutely fantastic but for dessert I recommend their Bombe Alaska.

The food I ordered was perfect, well presented and the service incredible. I ordered Salmon salad as start, Beef wellington as main and Dark Chocolate Fondant. I loved it all, big portions and the honey carrot side was divine. I just feel disappointed because the menu is pretty much 90% Indian food. I am not a big fan of Indian food and this is an international hotel group with guests from everywhere in the world. I think this chef for sure Is incredible, but a hotel menu should have majority international democratic food options, even I think he still needs to have freedom to offer few options to representing his own signature meals, with his cultural background . But Someone staying at the hotel who doesn’t eat Indian food wouldn’t have many options. I ordered pretty much the only non-Indian options in the menu. The restaurant has a potential to become maybe one of the best in Wellington. The vibe, decoration, location, view, and service are amazing and 5 start, but with this menu the restaurant is limited. I wouldn’t come back to eat the same options but I will in future the chef can add new non-Indian options in the menu.

There's no dispute that the food here is very good.  We had the beef wellington and chicken goan curry, both of which were delicious.
However our experience of the service tarnished our evening.  Having been shown to our table we then waited 25 minutes before asking we could have some water. A table behind us who came in later but we're obviously known by the serving staff received drinks, orders and first courses before we received our requested water. After another 15 minutes someone asked if we'd ordered [the menus on our table were a reasonable indication that we hadn't], and after another 10 minutes our wine order arrived with a very tepid Riesling.  Had the staff been busy it would have been understandable but there was much chatting at the reception desk and wandering up and down without any actual serving being done.
When our food arrived it was very good but there was another wait for a knife to be found for one of us and despite the restaurant being virtually empty, another couple were told quite brusquely they should have booked.
You can't fault the food or the view but sadly our experience of the service let the whole restaurant down. With plenty of excellent eateries a few yards away on the waterfront, we'd recommend trying one of them instead.

We were very lucky to have had the chance to try out this newly rolled out Indian buffet brunch by one80 lounge. While many places these days are doing high tea, they have opted for a different route and started doing buffet brunch instead. I must admit I have never had Indian breakfast before so I didn't know what to expect! There were lots of dishes that I had to ask the staff what the ingredients were, all the hot dishes had unique flavours and most were quite likeable for a foreign palate like mine! My favourite was the ros omelette in xacuti sauce, the scrambled eggs (egg bhurji) next to it was also very nice, and the chicken puff pastry. To add on top of that, I must say I am not a lamb person but their lamb Keema pao was 🤤 If you like lamb this will definitely tickle your fancy!
Just to note that half of the dishes had a bit of a kick to it, but not so much that I was sweating 😅 Of course in a buffet fashion I had to try a bit of everything, our table made a special note of the pineapple Rawa Kesari (sweet) which was a bit like a nice rice pudding and their mango Lassi was also really rich and mangoey. They even had vada pao which is like a burger, the bun fell apart a little bit but it did not affect the taste. Turning around the corner and you would see a pastry section, I must say I call myself quite well versed in pastry now after doing the almond croissant crawl 🤣, attached is a photo of a cut-up version of their croissant and it was a beautiful texture! I especially like the chocolate and coffee eclair, the filling really burst in your mouth. (Ok I just like coffee flavoured dessert!)
I really liked the drinks section, apart from the normal coffee, the teas were in nice packagings from La Maison du thé, and not those generic paper bags, and there was also masala chai which is something you don't see everywhere in Wellington! It was not sweetened and full of aroma. I made special note of all the non dairy milks on offer and I liked the gesture! The cereal section was barely touched by anyone which I thought was quite fair considering there were better options 🤣
With a view you can't beat on a good day, if you want a treat this will be something very different in Wellington! The brunch is currently at $49 per adult and half price for kids, only on Sundays.
