I ordered the waffles, but they tasted a little sour to me. When I mentioned it to the staff, she was incredibly friendly and explained that it might just be a matter of personal taste. She offered to make a new one or let me choose something else, so I decided on the egg on toast with creamy mushroom. It was delicious! Cozy cafe ay the end of Courtenay Place. Opens early to catch the breakfast crowd.

The staff were super polite, and the coffee was great. They offer smaller food portion sizes, which was helpful.

Finding the toilet was a bit of a rabbit warren but got there in the end.

Arriving at Sweet Mother's Kitchen around 8:30 PM, just before closing, we encountered a bustling scene with several patrons still enjoying their meals.

Inside, the decor is eclectic, with walls adorned with currency notes from around the globe. Among the diverse collection, we spotted Indonesian, Malaysian, Chinese, Korean, US, and Australian notes, along with what appeared to be a World War II Japanese banana note.

The shop owner graciously helped us add our Singapore 2-dollar note to the mix, giving it a place of honor among the currency wall.

The serving sizes were impressively large, particularly suitable for those accustomed to Asian portions, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. Despite the busy evening, our food arrived promptly within 15 minutes, and the service remained courteous and attentive.

However, finding parking proved to be a bit of a challenge, as the surrounding area was packed with cars parked along the street. We had to park some distance away and walk to the restaurant.

Despite the parking inconvenience, Sweet Mother's Kitchen is undeniably a delightful spot for a flavorful meal in a vibrant atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in search of good food and a unique dining experience.

Loved the place. They were already closed since it was New Year Day but let my friend and me in since it was raining and most nearby places were closed. The staff were very attentive and the Bam bam bowl was excellent! The place itself is quaint with a very eclectic hipster vibe.
