Fantastic tasting menu!

I sat at the bar, and service was very attentive and prompt, the restaurant was beautiful and dimly lit.

The tasting menu came with a welcome cocktail which was refreshing and I also opted for the wine pairing to go with the tasting menu.

The flavors were big, bold and quite rich, the wine pairing was well done, and the plating was spectacular! After dessert they also included coffee or tea and petit fours arranged on a beautiful plate of aromatics. I loved the flavors of each course, but I will say the only one I had any critique on was the main course of the pastrami over risotto. The pastrami and the risotto were both rich and flavorful, and I loved each one on their own, but together it was a bit much. Since the pastrami was already on the salty side (as expected with pastrami), I would have preferred something lighter and with a more subtle or contrasting flavor to accompany it.

Also, I never thought I would ever say something like this because I can eat a lot, but I actually struggled with the huge portion sizes for each course! Typically tasting menus leave me feeling just right or sometimes hungry (if the bites were too small) but each course here was like the size of a shared appetizer x 6! It didn’t help that the food here was so good that I ate the entire first two courses (plus some of the yummy fresh breads) and ended up being too full to finish the rest of my food and wine, that I could only handle a bite or two from the remaining 4 courses. Fortunately, they were kind enough to pack up my leftovers (who has leftovers from a tasting menu?!) because I wanted to enjoy the rest of it, and I certainly did at home today!

TIP: If getting the tasting menu, come hungry and pace yourself, no matter how good everything is!

It was totally worth what I paid for and I highly highly recommend this place!

Over-engineered food

Food: All the food we took was different from what was stated in the menu, it was re-engineered. Like baba ganoush was not a paste, but a whole eggplant under tahini sauce. Latkis was a huge block. Vareniki are 6 pieces under a fist amount of fried onion.
And everything was extremely salty, to the point I've choked. We did not finish all the main dishes and decided to not take the rest out.

Service: it seemed nice, but I was a bit uncomfortable that the table was not cleaned after we finished the bread basket. When we asked for the bill the waiter started collecting dishes without asking if we have finished. And finally when we were leaving a waiter counted the money in front of us and stopped us to say that the tip is not included (we have left 200k with the bill of 189k). I guess a mistake but I felt uncomfortable staying in the middle and being questioned for the tip.
For this prices I hope they can be nicer in the attitude, not only in smiles.

Atmosphere: it was nice. We were sitting outside. I might be petty but again, candles were lit on the couple of tables, on the couple were not. I strongly believe that the overall impression is actually created by the small details. Still we had a good time.

Overall, it's a mid-expensive place (189k for 4 bottles of water, 3 main dishes, 3 starters) which over complicates the food without delivery in taste.
As always I suggest you to go and try yourself as everyone's taste buds are different or maybe it was an unlucky visit for me. Just don't have a lot of expectations.

My wife and I came for dinner service. The atmosphere and authenticity was fantastic. However, there was more to be desired from the waiter service. We were seated and no one came to greet us or give us menus for 10 minutes. We were invisible. We had to flag a waiter down. Off to a rocky start. We were served the wrong dish and told them to send it back. Additionally, the mezzo carrots (pictured) were $32 USD. Totally our fault for ordering and not seeing the price but… never heard or seen of such a thing… WHAT?!

Mishiguene is a must-visit! We tried the tasting menu, and every dish was outstanding. The service was impeccable, and the food—simply exceptional. The pastrami rivals the best from NYC, and the varenikes were delicious. A fantastic fusion of Ashkenazi and Israeli flavors with a modern twist. Totally recommend

The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was great. However,  there were multiple things that were disappointing about this restaurant.

Our waiter mentioned some things that were not available on the menu, but turns out there was more that wasn't available than what he mentioned. My wife didn't finish her meal because she got full, so she asked to have the rest of it boxed up to take it to go. The waiter said "of course", but then never returned the food.

We ordered the carrot mezze, which  was 28000 pesos ($28 USD). This was a plate of  5 very small spears of carrots. We thought that was insanely overpriced for the amount (see the photo). Overall, especially the price considered, the food was just okay. We did enjoy the bread a lot, though. And the cocktail was nice.
