What an amazing experience!

First off, let me preface by mentioning that we showed up in flippers and bathing suits as we were taking a swim at Copacabana right before and had to catch a flight right after.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even though we clearly didn't match the excellent ambiance.

The food was simply stunning, nothing was short of perfect but for me the highlight was the bluefish tuna which I can't even begin to describe. 10/10.

To top it off, the prices are very reasonable, dare I say even a bit cheap for what you get.

I can't wait to come back to Rio so as to spend more time and try more dishes in this amazing restaurant!

I’m genuinely surprised this restaurant has a Michelin star. The service was inattentive, and the food fell far short of expectations. My trust in Michelin’s standards has taken a hit after this experience.

After being told our table was ready, we were seated in the designated “waiting area” without anyone offering a drink or acknowledging us for what felt like ages. When we were finally seated at the bar, we received menus but no explanations about the dishes or the dining experience. The food, when it arrived, was unremarkable—mediocre at best. To be honest, I’ve had far better sushi at my local neighborhood spot.

For a restaurant with such accolades, the overall experience was disappointing and underwhelming. I would not recommend it.

Accidentally stumbled across this place looking for sushi. Turns out it’s quite fancy and is in the Michelin guide. Security lets you in and takes you upstairs to a lovely restaurant. Service was excellent. Great selection of cocktails. Much more expensive than other nearby restaurants but still cheap for a fancy restaurant by Australian/NZ standards - for 2 people including appetiser, mains and 3 drinks it cost $100AUD/$65 USD. By the time we left at 8pm there was quite a long line of people waiting to get in.

I’m from Indonesia and I visited Brazil (Rio) for the first time. I know maybe I should have chosen to eat local cuisine, but because I love Japanese cuisine, on my last day in Rio I tried my luck to dine in Haru. It was Sunday and it was on first come first serve basis. Everything was great. The food from starter to dessert were delicious, and I got sushi compliment from the Chef for ordering Combinado Omakase Hitori ! ❤️ The portion is big. If my stomach was not full , I would have ordered ramen as well ! The staffs were friendly and helpful and some were able to communicate in English. I left the restaurant with happy tummy and happy heart ❤️

Best Sushi i have ever eaten! I would travel back to Rio just to eat at this lovely restaurant again. The fish was fresh, tasted delicious and the service perfect!
