Beautiful hotel, very clean with impeccable attention to detail. We wanted to stay in the Arashiyama area for two nights and this was a perfect location. Outstanding amenities and we loved how professional and polite the staff were. Hitomi was an incredible help to us as we took special anniversary photos in the garden, and arranged for a reserved place at a nearby Izakaya. The manager also provided a generous welcome gift and we truly felt like special guests. The breakfast was amazing and I loved everything! Don’t miss out on the washoku meals! The champagne hour was a wonderful touch and felt it truly was “free flowing.”

We had a great experience in Suiran for my wife's 30th birthday! This is also one of our dream hotel. Sunil, Yuki and Yuko are extremely good and considerate, helped me a lot to prepare some suprises for my wife, and she was very satisfied about it. The dinner resturant in the hotel was also very tasty and recomend it to everyone who wanted a course menu. Thanks to all the staff in the hotel!

We had very high expectations for the hotel as the name is called “a luxury collection hotel”, unfortunately when we got into our room, we were a bit disappointed as the room’s view was very limited, different from what we saw online. If you need to enjoy the view of the river and mountains, need to request a 3rd-floor room. The room is rather clean but our pillows are a bit have the smell of wet.

The staff were genuinely attentive and anticipated my needs with such grace—it felt like every moment was tailored just for me. The amenities were top-notch, and the peaceful surroundings provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

I left Suiran feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning my next visit. If you're seeking an exquisite retreat, look no further—Suiran will exceed every expectation. Highly, highly recommend!

Property refused to honor late check out for platinum member. Paid $1900 a night for onsen room and it was outdated. Also gave my father in law who booked via Amex FHR an incredibly hard time, arguing he does not get free breakfast although it's clearly listed as a FHR property. Was a very stressful 3 hours checking in and calling both Marriott and Amex to resolve these many problems.
