Had birthday dinner with friends on a weekday. Restaurant was not too busy but service was surprisingly bad with lots of confusion and a clear lack of training.

When we ordered drinks, two different waiters came to confirm our orders and there was confusion between who ordered which drink.

A similar situation happened when we requested the cake where multiple waiters came to confirm whether we want to cut the cake in the restaurant. It also took an hour after finishing all the other dishes for the fried rice to arrive.

Considering the price and the overall experience, it was quite disappointing as the food was average.

Mott 22

The name comes from 22 Mott Street in NYC Chinatown... honestly I don't remember if there is a building call 22 Mott... here in NYC.

They are a Michelin star restaurant... so the ambience is nice, a little dark... it's almost like eating inside a bank vault.

Had lunch, a few dim sum, way too fancy (my kids says), had their roast pork (it was delicious), and their Peking Duck... it's good, but too fatty for me.  The skin is deliciously thin… My kids enjoyed the lunch... we wish it was less stuffy.   What we enjoyed the most was the left over duck repurpose to make fried rice - that was amazing!

Service was top notch - of course!  No need to fight for bill - just wink at the waiter and sneak it out. Done

I was thoroughly impressed. The barbecued pork and crispy roast pork were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The steamed fish was the highlight of the meal—fresh, tender, and bursting with flavor. The fragrant tea complemented the meal wonderfully, adding to the overall experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was also remarkable, creating a delightful dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic and mouthwatering Chinese cuisine in Hong Kong!

Celebrating my birthday here because of Applewood 42 Days Roasted Peking Duck but sadly it was sold out. The food here is absolutely mouthwatering! From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations. Every dish we’ve tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I want to give a special shoutout to “Sir Dennis”, our server. Thank you sir Dennis and other staff for providing outstanding service throughout our meal. Will definitely come back here for pecking duck and other dishes. 💕💕💕

You can tell the standard of the dishes here are very high. Taste wise, I would give it 7/10 as they were not mindblowing…just prepared and presented in a faultless manner. (Although some dishes were too salty). As there was an open kitchen, you can tell staff work in great cohesion and service was attentive. Atmosphere was too dim for my liking. Prices of dishes were very much on the higher side.
