My favorite place in town for a decent meal and exceptional bottles. The food is unpretentious, hearty and delicious. Spectacular selection of cheese, if you are a cheese lover. The wine collection at Nicolas is just amazing and very reasonably priced. He can always surprise us with a bottle that we never thought about trying (and turned out to be fabulous). Service is always excellent. It's getting more and more difficult to get a table as it has become popular among wine drinkers. Other than that this place is perfect.

Lovely place. Very intimate setting. Limited menu but food is very good. Must try all the special menu. Very worth it to add on.  Nicolas’ recommendation of wine also goes well with the food. Service staff needs more training though. They look a bit bored before the customers come in. The lady pushing the cheese cart keeps bumping into my chair. Not sure if I’m feeling it correctly but I feel the staff was more enthusiastic serving non-Asian clients. Cheese platter is chargeable but we were not told (not that we would have mind getting) Food is good and definitely worth the try.

Visited this restaurant with some friends/colleagues on Saturday night, wow'd by their collection of wines in the restaurant... From tens to thousands per bottle, that can definitely satisfy the different needs of the guests.
The food menu is quite simple, just a page of starters, all are very delicious and good match to the white wine the chef recommended, and another page of set with 3 courses. One hot starter, one main and one dessert.
We had a wonderful time here in the restaurant till almost 11pm...

Superb dinner last night at Nicolas. The Beef was absolutely wow. Perfect execution, juicy with the right amount of gaminess. The Scallops was also impressive. The Fettuccine pasta dish was more rustic than fine dining but still delicious nonetheless.  Sadly BYO wine is longer allowed but the French wine selection is abundant and very reasonably priced. Atmosphere as always is warm and cozy and service is very accommodating. The happily obliged with spacing out the dishes so we had more time to savor the Champagne and Red we bought. Fair warning there is no wine list to read off, all the wines are displayed with price tags throughout the restaurant. If at a loss on what wine to order Chef Nicolas will be thrilled to advise on suitable ones.
