Hole-in-the-wall restaurant that specialises in eel dishes. I love eel and this unassuming restaurant does not disappoint. We tried the eel soup, fried vermicelli with eel and vermicelli soup with eel and they were all delicious.

Don’t let the brusque service put you off dining here.

Got the famous fried eel vermicelli soup. Very good. Great on a rainy day in Hanoi. Bowl served hot. Just added some chili, little lime, and fish sauce to taste. Very tight space inside. Hope you don't mind eating shoulder to shoulder with strangers lol but this is normal here.

Service was fast. Eat and get out lol. Just point at menu.

We didn’t try something like this before and surprisingly it was really tasty. The clear vermicelli soup has generous fried eel which tastes like fried chicken skin. Crunchy and no funky smell. Try it! Really different from all the pho in Vietnam. Will definitely be back again when in Hanoi!

The only eel vermicelli restaurant in Hanoi to be awarded the Bib Gourmand (good food, affordable price) award by Michelin in 2024, is over 40 years old, located on Hang Dieu Street. Very delicious! We had eel vermicelli soup and drank cold soy milk. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended!

We are Malaysian Chinese on a 5D4N trip to Hanoi and Halong, and this was hands down the best meal of our entire trip!

We ordered the Clear Vermicelli Soup (45k VND) and Fried Vermicelli (65k VND). Both were incredibly flavorful, but the Fried Vermicelli stood out with its rich taste and strong "wok hei" aroma. Absolutely delicious!

This is a must-try meal in Hanoi. Although we don't plan to return to Hanoi for another trip, if we ever do, we’ll definitely come back to Miến lươn Đông Thịnh for another meal. Highly recommended!
