Surprised to see so few reviews on google maps for TaiAn Table such a spectacular restaurant and excellent food. The restaurant is located slightly unconventionally at the end of a residential zone, its 3 Michelin star plaque hangs above the door bell. The staff are extremely well trained and are accustomed to serving customers from a variety of backgrounds and gastronomical experience. The dishes are expressive, innovative yet comforting, served on self warming placemats the dishes are kept warm till the last bite. The wine selection is excellent and the tasting flight options are great for those looking for some variety. Book online and prepay a deposit to secure a booking. The staff in the restaurant speak a plethora of languages to ensure everyone is welcomed.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the way I was treated by the staff member. On the day of my reservation, I suffered a severe ankle sprain, and the injury was serious enough that I could barely walk. I was diagnosed with a ligament strain by the hospital, and I immediately called the restaurant to request a rescheduling of my reservation due to my condition.

To my shock, the response I received was extremely rude and unprofessional. The staff member insisted that I must come to the restaurant, regardless of my injury. Otherwise, I would forfeit my deposit of 2000rmb per person. The tone of the conversation was harsh, condescending, and completely disregarded my situation. It was especially upsetting that there was no attempt to show any empathy or understanding for my condition.

I understand that policies may be in place regarding cancellations or rescheduling, but the attitude displayed by the staff was completely unacceptable. A simple, polite explanation of the policy would have sufficed, and I would have understood. However, the arrogant and dismissive behavior I encountered only added to my frustration.

This is a Michelin 3-star restaurant, but it even falls far short of the standards expected in the service industry.

I sincerely hope that the restaurant will review this matter and take steps to ensure that future guests are treated with more respect and empathy, especially when dealing with unforeseen circumstances.

Besides, there is another confusing issue. After I made the reservation for next week, I realized within a minute that I had booked the wrong date, so I immediately called the restaurant hoping to cancel the reservation. However, the restaurant refused, stating that once a booking is made, reservations for dining within a week cannot be canceled.
