Delicious fresh food, the chef is very friendly, the atmosphere is very nice, and their sake selection is also very good. Will definitely come back next time we are in Kyoto!

This place was recommended by our ryokan host. Hidden spot to find as tourist.
Google translator is helpful however menu is written in authentic Japanese hand writing that any app wouldn’t be able to read.
We told “chef choice” and he served us his own course of omakase. And costed us about 10,000 yen per person. With drinks.
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
If you want to try non touristy spot with good quality food , this is the place.

We found this cozy restaurant by chance. Since we couldn't read Japanese, we told the chef to choose for us. The food was amazing and it was a joy to watch him prepare the dishes. Truly a culinary voyage!
