Very good experience.
To be honest I expected more elaborated dishes from a two Michelin stars restaurant, but it is another concept in Japan. They value tradition and purity of flavors above innovation, and on that aspect it was remarkable.
The chef is passionated about his job and curious about the rest of gastronomies of the world. He did his best to communicate and it was a pleasure speaking with him.

Not allowed to take photos.

I can see the hosts family chatting happily with other japanese customers. They also tried to chat with me but we don't speak much of each others language.

Dislike the fact that the josstick/scent/mosquito repellant or whatever it is from washroom diffuses the whole dining area whenever someone open the toilet door. Ironically they disallow guests to wear perfumes.

The dishes were rather hit and miss.

Fugu is a surprise, I didn't die from eating it haha and it was really nice.

The steam clam rice is very nice.

The sashimi itself is great -- however the wasabi wasn't grated on the spot but rather some leftover from probably morning session/previous day.

The grilled fish is too salty.
The fish with rice: the fish is also over burnt.

The dessert is a bit bitter: probably they didn't remove the seeds completely before they make the yuzu pulp it into jelly.

Overall was still a pleasant experience but I definitely can find other Kaiseki restaurant in Kansai area with cheaper/similar price.

Spending 33,880 yen on this kaiseki meal was definitely not worth it! It fell far short of my expectations. I don’t understand why it’s a Michelin two-star restaurant.

I looked up the Michelin restaurant rating system's two-star criteria online. Specifically, a two-star restaurant usually has the following characteristics:

1. **Culinary skill**: The dishes are crafted with finesse, showcasing the chef's high level of skill and creativity.
- I thought this omakase would allow us to watch the chef cook live, but almost every dish was prepared in the kitchen and then brought out. I have no idea who actually made the food.
2. **Ingredient selection**: Uses high-quality, unique, and fresh ingredients.
- The ingredients didn’t seem particularly unique, and there were very few dishes made with expensive ingredients.
3. **Presentation of the dishes**: The dishes not only taste excellent but are also visually appealing and beautifully presented.
- One of the fried fish pieces was really dry and fishy, with a slightly sour taste.
4. **Consistency**: The quality and taste of the dishes are consistent, no matter when you visit.
- I can't comment on this, as I don’t want to go again.
5. **Individual style**: The restaurant usually has its own unique style and culinary philosophy, providing diners with a distinctive dining experience.
- I couldn't see any unique style; the chef was just standing there chatting loudly with two Japanese diners instead of working.
6. **Service and ambiance**: Although the primary focus is on the food, the quality of service and dining environment are also very important and can enhance the overall experience.
- The noise from the chef chatting with the diners made me feel like I was in a restaurant where the average meal costs less than 2,000 yen. The dishes were served quickly, and the chef seemed rushed, making it hard to relax and enjoy the meal.

These are just my personal opinions. For 33,880 yen, you could enjoy many similarly delicious meals in Japan.

Miyamoto is an absolutely phenomenal dining experience. From the flavor symphony of each course to the warm hospitality of Chef Miyamoto it was our favorite dining experience we had in Osaka. Despite him saying he did not really speak English he went to great lengths to make us feel welcome and took great care of us. Getting to see the playing of the dishes was like watching an artist at work. It was such an incredible experience, cannot state that enough.

Very very disappointed 👎
Dinner set cost ¥26,000 per person , drinks not included.
But Food was cheap quality , taste NOT good too.
In the set , 5 dishes was fish , how ridiculous it was 😡
Menu was amended by ball-pen , as a Michelin restaurant, too low class .
Service not good too , not a Michelin standard.
Totally wasting my time and money .
