This was my first Michelin experience in Japan,  and it lived up to our expectations.

We came for the lunch service.

We were served a seven course meal,  including my first ever experience with cod milt.

The flavors were nuanced,  balanced,  and clearly prepared by someone who takes pride in their cooking.

The service was extraordinary-  I feel more on par with a 2 or 3 star restaurant.

My favorite item was the rice pot-  scallops prepared with rice was amazing!

Also the fruit dessert gelatin was absolutely delicious.  I could have eaten nine of them.

Traditional Japanese 8 course meal. It was easy to make reservations through their website and they were patient and accomodating. The chef made an effort to communicate using Google translate.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this Michelin starred Kaiseki restaurant. Despite paying over $200 per person, the meal was underwhelming. The dishes were cold, lacked flavor, and felt cheap. One of the course, a “shrimp shaped radish” was a joke. It seemed as though they were saving costs on ingredients while charging a premium price. The restaurant claimed the menu featured seasonal items, yet there was no uni, wagyu, or any of expected high quality offerings. Never known that those are seasonal food. Do not go here. There are so many restaurants out there where you can enjoy much better food with that price.

Very very disappointed. I have no choice but to say, awful restaurant.

First, when I enter owner talked with regular customer and did not say anything  to me. He forcused on the coversation. This is not common in Japan, and I felt it was rude.

Second, almost of all plates were normal but not beyound ourexpectation. Not diserved as michelin star.

Just for your information, the free green
tea was very lukewarm. They seems not have HOT green tea.

If you wanna lose your (not reasonable) money with boring dishes, you should go.

We booked through an Amex's pocket concierge which is a great way to have high quality dining experiences whilst in Japan. A fantastic meal, staff were extremely friendly and good in English.
