A lovely hotel and very well situated.
We did the free walking tour offered by the hotel and I can recommend that.
Breakfast provided a variety of options and we ate beside the pool every day.
The Sunday evening market is right outside the hotel and is amazing as it seems to stretch in every direction for miles (probably an exaggeration) but it is huge.
A quaint hotel in the middle of this amazing city.
All the staff were lovely and very attentive.
Would thoroughly recommend it.

An oasis in the centre of the city. We arrived and our welcome was perfect. Refreshing drinks and towels were offered to us, and our bags were taken to our room immediately. The staff were extremely polite and friendly and took the time to show us around the grounds and to our room where they explained all the features.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with traditional features, lots of plants and candles everywhere. The pool is big enough and very serene. Restaurant serves superb food all day, albeit at hotel prices which is to be expected.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone who wants access to all Chiang Mai has to offer and wants a relaxing place to retreat to when they need to relax.
Oh and definitely make sure you have a massage, and take advantage of the complimentary village walk!

Tamarind village was highly recommended by a Thai friend. The rooms are arrayed in 2 storey buildings around courtyards in a traditional style designed by a notable local architect. The rooms are tasteful but not lavish. The pool is quiet and the breakfast is served on poolside each morning. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. One problem we had in the first night we could hear neighbors in the next door room. The staff kindly moved us to a new room the next day that was much quieter and didn’t have this problem . But I recommend the hotel fix this problem in the rooms that have poor sound insulation.

Got off to a bumpy start but Wila (the hotel
Manager) soon fixed all of that. It’s a beautiful hotel, the rooms are designed to be cosy (not huge amounts of natural light). The staff are sweet. And the 200 year old Tamarind tree is magnificent.

The pool area is deceptively small (compared to the photos online), it’s right by the restaurant so there’s little privacy and only a few loungers/areas to relax so unless you’re there early, it’s not always possible to be able to relax by the pool in the afternoons.
Overall it’s a lovely hotel but space is a premium.

Stayed here at the end of an adventure holiday for a bit of luxury pampering.  Only had 2 days here, but the place itself is fabulous, beautifully set out,  very tranquil, the gardens and pool are just the ticket.  Everything is thought of, towels by the pool,  padded sun lounges, bar service.  The rooms were extremely clean and very welcoming,  the one we had, had soft music playing,  an insense burner and soft lighting,  someone arrived to show us a week stocked mini bar, thoughtful little touches were all around. The whole place screamed class and elegance. All the staff were super friendly and ready to help with anything.  Someone came to turn the bed down, and she left a short folk lore story to enjoy. The food was excellent, there was room service although we didn't use it. There a shop where you can buy some of the soaps etc that's used in the rooms. There's spa packages although we thought they were a little on the expensive side. The hotel is situated very cental to a lovely part of Chiang Mai, we loved it all.
