It is a magnificent stone structure that the Chiangmai old city. It serves as the gateway to enter and exit the old city. The areas near the gateways is usually bustling with tourists taking pictures and exploring and locals selling things from souvenirs to eatables. It is a very calm location in the early morning hours and thorns into a very busy area as the day wears. The canals immediately inside the wall give it a even more iconic look.

Tha Phae Gate is where you can chill in the evenings and just stroll. When it's dark it's really pretty to see the place. Must visit. Weekends and public holidays will be a little crowded. Sundays will be packed because of the Sunday market

The historic landmark of Chiangmai downtown. Located at the east end of the square shaped walled old city centre.
This is the starting point of the Sunday night market as well.

Once you notice how people got their photos with lots of flying pigeons in front of the old city wall, you won’t do that anymore. Will you? People are actually paying locals to scare the pigeons to fly at the same time to take such photos. Starting from you, don’t do that anymore. Okay?

It's like a park with vendors (food and stuffs) and freedom park.

The other side is Sunday Night Market where you can buy good items at the best price.

Located in a busy intersection. There is an event setup so it’s hard to get a whole wall view. The gate and wall showed ancient ruins. Also there are pigeons near the wall. Nice to take personal photo shoot with the wall.
