Luk Lak is a wonderful restaurant, especially for the price point.  Luk Lak does NOT have a Michelin star.  It is a Michelin recommended restaurant, very different.

Initially, we were sat on the first floor, next to a smoker, and I needed to move.  They were kind enough to move us upstairs to a non-smoking room.  Unfortunately, we sat next to an American foursome extolling the virtues of low taxes, especially on their boats, as they asked the server to itemize everything on their check so each couple paid for what they ordered.  I almost slapped down my credit card and told the server to split the bill.

Some of the food was great, and some of the food served was just okay.  The Bun Cha was fantastic, but the spring rolls were mediocre. We both loved the Chef’s grilled chicken with lime leaves served with sticky rice.

Service was welcoming, helpful and our server spoke better English than me, an ugly American.  Luk Lak is a fun restaurant.

Really lovely restaurant and great price especially for a Michelin Recommended restaurant.

We loved the scrambled egg and veg and black cod and the portions are very generous! We thought the chicken was tender but the skin was a little soggy and chewy, and the mushroom spring rolls very chewy. Loved our lychee and elder drink though!

Overall great experience and would definitely recommend!

FAVORITE restaurant in Hanoi. Originally, recommended to us by Capella’s concierge.

Can’t miss here but the Luk Lak signature pork is something I will dream about for years to come.

We tried to order 4-5 dishes for 2 people and the waitress stopped us, saying it would be too much. She convinced us to do 3 dishes and she was totally right. Great service there, not all about money.

Can’t recommend this place more, it is THE SPOT in Hanoi.

We made reservations here prior to visiting Hanoi and it is known as one of the Michelin restaurants and super affordable too. The restaurant has multiple floors to dine in, the workers all speak English and lots of foreigners come here. We got different drinks, their egg coffee looked popular, coconut coffee, I really enjoyed my ginger tea and others got some mojitos. We ordered soup, a chicken dish, noodles, and a ton of other dishes and vegetables. We really enjoyed the meal and everything was good!

I didn't have a reservation but the staff gave me a spot at the counter and eventually moved me to a table once one became available. Really good service from the staff there.

I ordered the mango, coconut and pineapple smoothie, and oh my, it was the best I have tried, really loved it and would go back just to have that again.

The food itself was also very tasty and good, ordered the whole grain rice with roasted pork, and it tasted great. Very happy for the meal overall.

I recommend this place and could see myself going back here.
