⭐I am not the person to wait in line for anything! But this place caught our attention when researching & since we were only one day in Split, we were determined to try it.
🌟 The wait wasn't even that long and IT WAS WORTH IT!
The service was fast and polite. The waitress was very friendly and always checked whether we were satisfied. The male waiter, often mentioned in the comments has a strange humour/behaviour. I believe it's his way of making a show, so if you don't like it, just ignore him and enjoy the delicious food.
🏆 Every bite from the generous amount of food was delicious! I liked the red wine in bulk and the salad was refreshing. Every compliment for the chef 👏
📻 Cozy atmosphere.
👛 The prices are affordable, having in mind that is located in a tourist centre with overpriced restaurants.
I believe the negative comments come from people who don't understand the place. It's not a typical restaurant. It has a few main dishes which are well thought out and well executed.

I know the owner and have eaten here many times. It’s a small family owned place. The food is always incredible and authentic served with warm delicious bread. The menu rotates so everything is fresh!
Highly recommend the cuttlefish risotto, marinated fish, and fried fish with vegetables, though honestly everything is pretty good but especially the fish. Everything is priced pretty reasonably for large portions especially given the location. 3 dishes can be shared between four people and you will be full.

It is a small restaurant in the old city so the atmosphere is cozy and you can expect to share a large table with another group. Conversation with your neighbours is encouraged. The staff are friendly and honest and will encourage you to pick meals that are suitable for you. There is outdoor seating available as well.

We tried to get dinner here our first night but it was full so we came for an early dinner the next day, definitely would have been worth the wait though.

We ordered meatballs and gnocchi which were both delicious. Don’t be intimidated by the serving size of the gnocchi, it was for two people!

Without a doubt, this is the best place in town. The food is superb and genuinely Croatian, offering an authentic taste of the country’s cuisine. While there might be a bit of a wait outside since they don’t take reservations, it’s truly worth it. Please try especially the beef stew with gnocchi and you won’t be disappointed !!

Wow excellent. Dont bother with the other tourist trap rubbish, this little place knocks the socks off all of them.
Beef with Gnocchi tasted lovely, really nice flavours. Also had marinaded sardines, these were excellent, super fresh. Overall great value and quality!
Cash only, and you may need to wait, but worth it!
