One of the best places in downtown Annecy to enjoy fine dining in a cozy place. The staff is extremely friendly. Food was amazing.

We had a warm and friendly welcome from Magali, who runs L'Esquisse with her husband, Stéphane. She immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease in their cozy restaurant, which only had three tables of two on the ground floor.

The menu is a surprise for everyone, including Magali, who knows the details of the menu a few moments before serving. The menu was comfortable and delicious, based on local and seasonal products and cuisine—while still having some playful elements.

We look forward to returning some day.

Great find! We did the 5 dish surprise menu and everything was delicious. They served us few surprise bites.  Fresh ingredients and great culinary technique. Outstanding service and delicious wines.
