The restaurant is gorgeous, it has a beautiful garden and is very harmoniously decorated. The service is fast and professional, they take the time to explain each course.
Sadly, the food is nothing to write home about. It is not bad but we were expecting a lot more having visited a couple of one star restaurants. You can definitely see the expertise on the dishes but you can not taste it... Is like they don't like to take any risks and although it was just good, l wouldn't recommend it.

Delicious gastronomic restaurant. Be prepared to sit for over 2 hours but the chef definitely has a lot to offer. My pork was incredible. You haven't had pork cooked that way, I can tell you. Everything else was unique, flavorful and very well executed.
Very well priced, in this beautiful house.

Now that my challenge of trying every Michelin Stars in Paris and 3 Stars is done, I’m redoing most of them and I’m trying 2 Stars or Stars that are around Paris (Follow me for all the reviews and updates).
I took the opportunity to have to go to the airport (CDG) to have a Sunday lunch there.
« Une bien belle maison. » (A quite pleasing family house.)

What’s interesting here? The house, the family and the son.
For the house, it’s start at the gate. It was a Rothschild s hunting lounge. Additions have been made on both sides to create two luminous dining rooms. Still the lounge spirit did not left the building and you’ll find reminders everywhere, from a gorgeous chimney to the seats with fur.

But the temperature of a house depends on how inhabits it. Here it’s warm. The staff is exactly what it should be (warmer than in Paris, but still distant and respectful). Still, it’s more than that. There’s a spirit. A family spirit. A warm one. L esprit d auberge (inn’s spirit). It’s the third generation. So, for those who follow me, you’ll know that’s a big combo for me: Sunday lunch in an inn!
That would have been enough to made my day. And then came the son. Today’s chef is the son, the parents being in the dining room. He worked in numerous Michelin Stars, and most notably in 3 Stars Kei. Although, it s not a small Kei, you can see that he took away from that experience a certain creativity, freedom from the classical Michelin but yet with an attention to balance. My dessert was a prime example with the usage of cauliflower, but it could be seen through the entire menu.
Bottom line: I’m not afraid of having to go to CDG anymore. I know what to do, and where to go.

Mood : it was very family because of the Sunday factor. I guess it’s quite versatile (from business lunch to date night).

A quite solid one star that I need to go back to, to discover more.

We had an amazing dinner experience, the food was delicious and the menu is definitely worthy with little amuse bouches served before getting the starters. The service was also excellent, not too formal and very friendly. Overall we had a great time in this nice restaurant and I will definitely try to come back.
