I wished I loved this place but maybe cause am not French -  I didn’t. This restaurant was recommended by several food blogs. The prime rib was the thing to get. I don’t eat a ton of meat but I love trying new things. However I really hated the prime rib. It tasted like ham mixed with beef and had a soggy chewy texture. It was a huge portion though. However spending $100 on this beef was upsetting. I maybe took 2 bites.
The crispy rice was decent along with the potatoes. Overall maybe it’s just not the food for me. Service was nice.

I would have naturally really liked this restaurant because of the small but appetizing menu, the quality of the food, the long and interesting wine list and the nice decor and atmosphere, but from the minute we got there and all throughout our meal, the waiter rushed us mentioning several times that there was a second seating after us. It completely ruined our experience.

Fantastic and personable service with good wine recommendations. The food was lovely with thai flavours combined with French cooking techniques. A very welcome change from the usual bistro fare/flavours. This restaurant deserves its high rating.

Godaille is a vibrant small place on a quiet square with excellent food.  The menu is small which is wonderful.  We were a group of five and we tried each of the appetizers and one was better than another. Perhaps the crispy rice was a particular standout but they were all excellent.  For my plate, I chose the scallops which were fresh and delicious. Others had the lamb which they enjoyed.  My only disappointment is that it’s an all natural wine list—which I know for many is a selling point rather than a negative.  I think it’s wonderful to promote all natural wines but why not let the customer choose.  Wine is very important to me and when I open an all natural wine list, I am unfamiliar with every label.  We relied on the waiter for a recommendation and it was only ‘ok’.
