All the food was excellent, and the service was friendly, relaxed and not over the top. They offer a tasting menu and a vegetarian alternative, both of which were great. The vegetarian alternative was in most courses very similar and in some courses exceeded the regular menu.
Good selection of wines (unsurpisingly), in various sizes from half bottle to magnum.

Wer die asiatische Küche auf Sterneniveau mag, kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten. Neben dem Taku in Köln und Yunico in Bonn eine tolle Alternative. Ich würde jedoch nicht mehr die Weinbegleitung bestellen, da vom Champagner beginnend (Perlage fehlte) bis zu den angebotenen Weinen, (vielleicht schon vom Vortag oder älter) nicht so gut war  bzw. schmeckte. Der Service und die Bedienung waren wirklich sehr gut, die Sommeliere hat den Wein auch sehr gut und überaus herzlich präsentiert. Der doppelte Espresso zum Schluss war eher ein verdünnter Kaffee. Auch hier besteht auf jeden Fall Verbesserungsbedarf. Die Bewertung soll dem Team helfen, die Dinge zu verstehen und zu verbessern. Wenn wir noch mal in der Nähe sind, kommen wir trotz allem sehr gerne wieder und lassen uns erneut Begeistern.

Anyone who likes star-level Asian cuisine will get their money's worth here. A great alternative next to Taku in Cologne and Yunico in Bonn. However, I would no longer order the wine accompaniment because from the champagne (there was no bubbles) to the wines offered (perhaps from the previous day or older) they weren't or tasted that good. The service was really very good, the sommelier also presented the wine very well and very cordially. The double espresso at the end was more of a watered down coffee. There is definitely room for improvement here too. The assessment is intended to help the team understand and improve things. Despite everything, if we are in the area again, we would be happy to come back and be inspired again.

Wir waren im Rahmen des kulinarischen Trios im Hotel Traube Tonbach. Ein Abend im Restaurant 1789 gehört hier auch dazu. Einfach ein perfekter Abend. Super entspannter Service, nette Mitarbeiter mit sehr gutem Essen!

We were at the Hotel Traube Tonbach as part of the culinary trio. An evening in the 1789 Restaurant is also part of it. Just a perfect evening. Super relaxed service, nice staff with very good food!
