Good restaurant for the pricing. The waiters translated the ingredients to English and explained the dishes. The pasta was great. Marinated anchovies were excellent. Really enjoyed the starters that came from the chef. The sauce for the rabbit was not up to the mark w.r.t. the other sauces. Their take on the tiramisu was not particularly great. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed a wonderful diner with friends, fine good and great services. The seafood  scampi crudo, as was the pasta, and jamón ibérico. Well worth the price.

Esperienza da fare almeno una volta, Rear si presenta con una location accogliente e curata, arricchita dalla cucina a vista che regala un tocco di fascino e suggestione. L’atmosfera, però, viene lievemente penalizzata dall’illuminazione al tavolo, risultata un po’ carente durante la cena.
La serata inizia con una serie di amuse-bouche ben curati . Il pane, sebbene richiedesse una masticazione prolungata, trovava un buon equilibrio abbinato all’olio, senza mai essere sovrastato. Ottimi anche i grissini al finocchietto selvatico.
Tra i piatti principali spicca il bao con granchio norvegese, una vera sorpresa per il palato grazie al contrasto caldo-freddo tra farcitura e pane, un’idea originale e ben realizzata. Il baccalà mantecato è stato cotto alla perfezione, sebbene la salsa alla base rimanesse poco chiara nella sua composizione. Il tubettone è stato un piatto interessante, anche se la pasta risultava leggermente indietro nella cottura, senza però compromettere l’idea complessiva, che si è rivelata convincente. La ventresca di tonno con cipollotto, marmellata di cipolla e brodo dashi è stata una delle portate più divertenti e riuscite, grazie al perfetto contrasto tra il dolce della marmellata e il sapore intenso del brodo.

Gli abbinamenti tra vino, cocktail e analcolici divertono l’ospite, creando un’esperienza dinamica e sorprendente. Il whisky sour, accostato al piatto con carciofo, si è rivelato particolarmente azzeccato e in perfetta armonia con i sapori.
Il percorso si conclude con un pre-dessert al pomodoro, sorprendente e ben bilanciato, e un dolce principale a base di pere, noci e cioccolato che rispetta le aspettative, seguito dalla piccola pasticceria finale che chiude l’esperienza.
Nonostante la cucina brilli per originalità e qualità, si percepisce una certa ripetitività nei sapori, con una chiusura spesso caratterizzata da un piacevole ma ricorrente retrogusto piccante/speziato. Tuttavia, il vero limite dell’esperienza è il mancato sincronismo tra sala e cucina: il servizio non lavora di pari passo con la creatività dello chef, con spiegazioni poco precise e un’attenzione ai dettagli non all’altezza del livello del menù.

An experience to be had at least once, Rear presents itself with a welcoming and well-kept location, enriched by the open kitchen which gives a touch of charm and charm. The atmosphere, however, is slightly penalized by the lighting at the table, which was a little lacking during dinner.
The evening begins with a series of well-curated amuse-bouche. The bread, although it required prolonged chewing, found a good balance combined with the oil, without ever being overpowered. The wild fennel breadsticks are also excellent.
Among the main dishes, the bao with Norwegian crab stands out, a real surprise for the palate thanks to the hot-cold contrast between the filling and bread, an original and well-executed idea. The creamed cod was cooked to perfection, although the sauce behind it remained unclear in its composition. The tubettone was an interesting dish, even if the pasta was slightly behind in cooking, without however compromising the overall idea, which proved convincing. The tuna belly with spring onion, onion jam and dashi broth was one of the most fun and successful dishes, thanks to the perfect contrast between the sweetness of the jam and the intense flavor of the broth.

The combinations of wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks entertain the guest, creating a dynamic and surprising experience. The whiskey sour, paired with the artichoke dish, proved to be particularly apt and in perfect harmony with the flavours.
The journey ends with a tomato pre-dessert, surprising and well balanced, and a main dessert based on pears, walnuts and chocolate that meets expectations, followed by the final small pastry that closes the experience.
Although the cuisine shines with originality and quality, a certain repetitiveness is perceived in the flavours, with a finish often characterized by a pleasant but recurring spicy/spicy aftertaste. However, the real limit of the experience is the lack of synchronization between the dining room and the kitchen: the service does not work hand in hand with the chef's creativity, with imprecise explanations and an attention to detail that is not up to the level of the menu.

Accompagnato da grissini- maffin salato
Poi abbiamo perseguito con degli starter davvero ben realizzati e ben presentati
Un mini lobster roll molto delicato con bun molto soffice e piacevole;
Un tacos con kebab di tonno dal sapore molto deciso e equilibrato
Classica frittura di pesce che non può mancare “🤣” di buona qualità
Insalata di mare tiepida con salsa a limone molto decisa e piacevolmente equilibrata -
Una rivelazione carciofo  a vapore con menta, crema di topinambur e polpettina di maiale .
Ora arriviamo al clou del pranzo:
La pasta militare - aspettative alte soddisfate- uno spettacolo davvero un esplosione di gusto con crema di ostriche e champagne, e king crab.
Linguina ceci e ricci di mare molto ben equilibrata -aspettative più basse ma ben ricreduti-
Baccalà bianco e nero molto delicato e ben presentato .
Dolci millefoglie crema e chantilly ben realizzata con gelato per la nota di freschezza , tuorno a sorriento molto forte il limone il caccao fa poco il
Suo lavoro di equilibrare l’Aspro del limone, ma ci pensa il gelato all’olio di oliva, nel complesso buono ma non il massimo ma è indubbiamente un gusto soggettivo .
Concludiamo con un classico dei cannoli da farcire direttamente a tavolo .
Il conto molto molto molto più basso dato le aspettai abbiamo pagato poco più di 200€ a tre persone con acqua e gin tonic . Molto soddisfatti ci ritorneremo .

A very delicate mini lobster roll with a very soft and pleasant bun;
A taco with tuna kebab with a very strong and balanced flavour
Classic fried fish that cannot be missing "🤣" of good quality
Warm seafood salad with a very strong and pleasantly balanced lemon sauce -
A steamed artichoke revelation with mint, Jerusalem artichoke cream and pork meatball.
Now we come to the highlight of lunch:
The military pasta - high expectations met - a truly explosion of taste with cream of oysters and champagne, and king crab.
Very well balanced chickpea and sea urchin linguine - lower expectations but well accepted -
Very delicate and well presented black and white cod.
Sweet millefeuille cream and chantilly well made with ice cream for the note of freshness, very strong sorriento, lemon, cocoa does little
Its job is to balance the sourness of the lemon, but the olive oil ice cream takes care of that, overall good but not the best but it is undoubtedly a subjective taste.
We conclude with a classic cannoli to be filled directly at the table.
The bill was much, much, much lower than I expected, we paid just over €200 for three people with water and gin and tonic. Very satisfied we will return.
