We visited Il Rivale in Città on October 9 ‘23 and it’s just a few days, since the restaurant has opened under the new name (ex Veleno)

Talking about our experience- it was excellent✨The food, atmosphere and service were amazing. Location is really stunning and it’s so great to find such unique place in Brescia. Highly recommended.

There is a shortage of places like this in Brescia. Overall it was a great experience. We have remained in the "pasticceria" area, however there was also a restaurant on the inside. The staff is very pleasant, food is decent and the prices are ok. We expected it to be more expensive. Anyway, i recommend this place for an elegant experience.

I visited Veleno twice, for brunch and for dinner.

Brunch had a very delicious omelette on par with what I've tasted in Paris. Also, the Venetian croissant was delicious: tender, with a creamy and flavorful filling. The brunch room is beautifully maintained with features of Brescia's vintage architecture, like sitting in a palazzo drawing room.

The dinner tasting menu was exciting, tasty, and affordable, set in a splendidly decorated dining area.

Ho pranzato in settimana, ho preso un menù degustazione di pesce e mi sono trovato benissimo. Il locale è molto curato e di classe; le pietanze (carbonara di mare, orata al forno, zucchine alla scapece e dolce ai 3 cioccolati) molto ben presentate e preparate; il personale di servizio molto gentile e puntuale. Veramente consigliato!

I had lunch during the week, I took a fish tasting menu and I had a great time. The place is very nice and classy; the dishes (seafood carbonara, baked sea bream, scapece courgettes and 3 chocolate dessert) were very well presented and prepared; the service staff very kind and punctual. Truly recommended!
