On the south side of the Arno river a casual local eatery that caterers to locals and visitors alike. Reservations are a must. The bistecca fiorentina was excellent, as were the pasta dishes and desert. The only issue was after our meal we were asked to leave because they needed the table for another reservation. Our reservation was for 7:30-9:30 and it was only 9:10. We understood and complied but still I never had a request to leave a restaurant. lol

Amazing experience of local food of Florence !
The taste, quality, service, qualities , everything was outstanding.
The restaurant is out of the touristic area, but for sure worth visiting. However, the reservation is required  to get a spot for delicious meals :)

Very good portions, extremely lovely food, friendly and inviting atmosphere from the host.

He recommended a typical dish from the region, I didn't catch the name but it was absolutely phenomenal.
I have been to Italy many times and this was one of the best meals I've had, it's slightly further outside of the city, but worth the walk / bus!

Enjoyed the first meal so much, I booked two subsequent evenings. This trattoria is not large so reservations are a must. Service was great and some items on the menu change nightly. This was a close walk from my hotel and has a bus stop in both directions within 100 feet. This is worth seeking out if you are in the neighborhood. I have not worked through the menu but other dishes at nearby tables looked great.

Update: Two years later this is still a good place to eat. I was kind of disappointed that some of the previous popular dishes are no longer offered. They have started selling a house Chianti for ( 16 EUR ) which is tasty and a great value. I am still recommending this trattoria.

One of our favorite meals in Florence. A little outside of the busy, touristy area but still easily accessible. Amazing and delicious food. We had the spaghetti alla carrattiera and osso bucco and bother were absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!
