On the south side of the Arno river a casual local eatery that caterers to locals and visitors alike. Reservations are a must. The bistecca fiorentina was excellent, as were the pasta dishes and desert. The only issue was after our meal we were asked to leave because they needed the table for another reservation. Our reservation was for 7:30-9:30 and it was only 9:10. We understood and complied but still I never had a request to leave a restaurant. lol

Amazing experience of local food of Florence !
The taste, quality, service, qualities , everything was outstanding.
The restaurant is out of the touristic area, but for sure worth visiting. However, the reservation is required  to get a spot for delicious meals :)

Very good portions, extremely lovely food, friendly and inviting atmosphere from the host.

He recommended a typical dish from the region, I didn't catch the name but it was absolutely phenomenal.
I have been to Italy many times and this was one of the best meals I've had, it's slightly further outside of the city, but worth the walk / bus!

Enjoyed the first meal so much, I booked two subsequent evenings. This trattoria is not large so reservations are a must. Service was great and some items on the menu change nightly. This was a close walk from my hotel and has a bus stop in both directions within 100 feet. This is worth seeking out if you are in the neighborhood. I have not worked through the menu but other dishes at nearby tables looked great.

Update: Two years later this is still a good place to eat. I was kind of disappointed that some of the previous popular dishes are no longer offered. They have started selling a house Chianti for ( 16 EUR ) which is tasty and a great value. I am still recommending this trattoria.

One of our favorite meals in Florence. A little outside of the busy, touristy area but still easily accessible. Amazing and delicious food. We had the spaghetti alla carrattiera and osso bucco and bother were absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!

En affärskollega tog mig till restaurangen igår kväll. Han kände flera av de andra som åt där. Det fanns ingen turist i sikte och jag är inte säker på att engelska talades. Jag var mycket bekväm. Jag åt en halv portion av den kryddiga spagettin, vilket var perfekt då jag åt stekt fläsk, som var bland det bästa jag någonsin ätit. Jättegod sås. Vid sidan av åt jag kronärtskockor och avslutade med en liten cheesecake. För mycket mat, men det var enastående. Jag rekommenderar starkt denna restaurang.

Trattorian ligger en bit utanför citykärnan. Fem minuters rask promenad från Porta Romana. Lokalen är liten och ombonad. Portionerna var väl tilltagna och allt utom den grillade kalvkotletten serverades med tillbehör. Vi åt Toscani misti till förrätt. Fyra personer delade på två portioner och deträckte gott och väl. Vi valde olika varmrätter och alla var nöjda. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam och kan man inte italienska så tar de sig tid att förklara på engelska. Bor du i närheten av Porta Romana är det väl värdet besök.

Rekommenderas definitivt för alla som går förbi Florens i några dagar. En underbar liten livskiva längs vattnet med utmärkt florentinsk biff, bra service och en trevlig atmosfär runt omkring. Kom och hör en slaktare som utplånar ditt kött ovanför ditt huvud, som om änglar rivar bort vid de feta molnen i himlen.

En exceptionellt god måltid med mycket hjälpsam personal. Du måste boka eftersom det är extremt populärt. Inte billig och menyn är bara på italienska. Servitören kommer att översätta.

Detta är mestadels lokalbefolkningen och lite från centrum. Tjänsten var utmärkt och han talade mycket bra engelska. Jag började med en pappardelle med porcinis. Riktigt välsmakande. För våra elnät hade jag fläskkotlett medan min fru hade en kalvkotlett. Båda var utmärkta och var 13 € respektive 15 €! Wow! Kort men bra vinlista med bra priser. Tiramisu var mycket smakfull. Mycket äkta för säker. Stor lokal upplevelse.

Det är en trevlig liten restaurang med trevlig personal och god mat, alla lokala kunder, mycket lugnande om man letar efter traditionell lokal mat!

Akta dig: denna restaurang avbokade min reservation utan varning trots min bekräftelse. De skulle inte ens korrigera sitt fel genom att ta emot mig och min fest.

Denna restaurang ligger en kort bit bort från "misshandlad spår" av turister, men väl värt ansträngningen att besöka. De flesta av lunchkunderna var lokalbefolkningen och var klart "stamgäster"; det är inte svårt att förstå som maten är utsökt och äkta. Vi åt kalvköttet lever och grillat fläskkotlett; båda var otroligt läckra; våra grönsaker var sallad, bönor och kronärtskockor. Denna restaurang bör vara på din lista för att besöka. Tjänsten var snabb och vänlig. Det är värt ett andra besök för att utforska menyn ytterligare.

Det är bara trevligt att hitta en traditionell florentinsk trattoria, allt i dag är modern, minimal och fusion. Med Ruggero har du mycket god mat med tanke på traditionen, så till exempel var min Fegato Alla Salvia och Patate Arrosto bara perfekt. Ibland är det bara trevligt att hitta traditionen.

Vi hade middag två gånger i denna underbara tratoria, enligt rekommendationerna från den italienska ägaren av vår lägenhet (några minuters promenad därifrån). Platsen är full av lokalbefolkningen (bra punkt), det finns engelsktalande servitören som var väldigt snäll mot oss. Bli inte dissappointed av den rustika dekorationen (det är en typisk tratoria, inte en fin restaurang), pastaen är mycket bra (minst tre olika såser smakade) och även fläsk och nötkött. Effektiv och prisvärd vinlista.

Conciergen på hotellet föreslog denna restaurang, och vi hade turen att få ett bord på vår första natten i Florens. Bra mat, stora portioner - beredda med bra ingredienser och mycket omsorg. Goda viner och inte för dyrt. Våra servitören var härlig - talade utmärkt engelska - var roligt och gav meningsfullt råd om disken på menyn. Han föreslog också ett matchande vin som var på plats. Restaurangen kan vara lite utanför misshandlad spår, men är väl värt ett besök.

Via Senese är inte en vacker gata och det är borta från navet i centrala Florens, söder och väster om Ponti Vecchio. Du kanske bättre får en taxi. Det är inte walkable. Och du kommer nog att behöva boka - den här platsen är populär bland lokalbefolkningen. Och bli inte avskräckt av drabdörren! knappast förvånande med oförglömlig tortellini soppa, kryddig torsk i tomatsås och sällsynt nötkött med spenat. Tabeller ändras snabbare än ett F 1-pitstopp som lokalbefolkningen släpper efter för antipasti och vin och chatt! !

Under alla mina år av resa har jag svårt att tänka på en plats där jag fick en sämre mottagning från ägaren. Vi anlände 15/20 minuter. sent för vår 8: 00 pm reservation och hälsades inte med en hej och kanske en mild påminnelse om att vi var sent men en gruff, extremt oförskämd och aggressiv harangue att han behövde bordet tillbaka vid 9:30. Sedan fortsatte vi att serveras osäkert en av de värsta och mest obetydliga urvalet av antipasti som jag kan minnas, den fyllda tomaten var verkligen upprorande. Min fru beställde en fruktansvärd pasta, bara de vita bönorna var bra. Tänk på att jag är florentinsk och jag är van vid deras sätt att hantera men behandlingen vi fick från ägaren (killen med rakat huvud) gick långt bortom vad någon kunde rättfärdiga som lokal folklore. BTW han fick sitt bord tillbaka kl 09:32.
