After a cold journey, my mum and I arrived here and were warmly greeted by the lady at the front desk and promptly had our bags delivered to our gorgeous, charming room. We were quite tired so we headed down to Benedicta Restaurant, the hotel’s restaurant, which was a fantastic decision! We were welcomed by Diego and Francesco who brought a warm, positive vibe and elevated service. A special thank you to Diego who served us, going above and beyond to accommodate us, answer questions, provide recommendations and serve delicious food! I would highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

The location of this hotel is great. It is central and near many restaurants, cafes and bus stops. However the rooms are slightly small and there is not much space to put things especially suitcases! Because our window in the room was lovely and staff were great it made up for the slightly small room.

We were looking for somewhere nice and not too far from the train station as we were only in Florence for one night.  The staff was extremely nice and helpful.  Everyone went out of there way to help and make sure our experience was lovely.  We especially enjoyed getting to meet the bartender Gabriel when we were given a voucher for a welcome drink.  He was so polite and made the best espresso martinis!

Beautiful  hotel. So comfortable and relaxing.  Close to train station Best hotel of our European  holiday. Lovely  lady at breakfast  buffet  was so nice. Rooms are spacious  and luxurious. Had a great sleep. Beds are so comfortable. Would  definitely  recommend  and come back

This place is definitely charming, I'll give it that.... but that's about the only thing that was pleasant about our stay.

We were on the final leg of our honeymoon, ending with three nights in Florence.  Our hotel room had rocks in the bathtub, a full ashtray from the people before.... and it was HOT in the room.  Uncomfortable hot.  Keep in mind this was late November/early December.  Here, the front desk controls the temperature of the rooms - you have to ask them for any changes.  Six hours and three trips to the front desk later, it was still sweltering in the room.   Told us maintenance would be there in the morning, gave us a small plastic fan.... and that was it.   Three nights of really uncomfortable heat.  The most they did for us was to send a bell hop up to the room... looked at the thermostat and simply said,  "heat is off".  When I asked him why it was still hot in the room, he nodded and agreed it was really hot in there.

We met two other couples who were having a similar experience.

There are SO MANY hotels in Florence... don't take a chance on this one, especially if you care about a comfortable night of sleep.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: I always appreciate somebody that replies to reviews - even if they're not favorable.  So, thank you.

1) We were not offered an upgraded room....simply another room without a balcony.  If it WAS an upgraded room, it was not communicated as such.  I'd like to think we'd gladly accept an upgraded room.

2) A fan wasn't delivered - after my THIRD trip to the front desk, the attendant rummaged around and found a small plastic fan for me to take up.

3) The front desk attendant also said somebody would be by in the morning to assess the situation further.  When that never happened, we simply gave up and accepted our fate, as we weren't going to let it take up any more of our time.
