I didn't know what to expect and I was astounded by the art works on display. Everywhere I looked, there was a great piece of art. It's definitely worth a visit. Make sure you book the tickets in advance, I don't think you can just show up and get in, at least not during the peak season.

Beautiful piazza with a replica of Michaelangelo's David and other famous sculptures on display. There's a beautiful fountain as well.

We spent about an hour in this piazza. There's a free entrance into the museum at the piazza as well. Definitely worth the visit while in Florence.

There are restaurants in the piazza and tons more restaurants within walking distance.

One of the most striking buildings in Florence. I didn't have the time to go in, but it was simply fantastic to sit in the shadows of its historic greatness. Immediately outside is a copy of the most historic sculpture in the world, Michelangelo's David, and nearby is the open air sculpture park of the Loggia dei Lanzi. Simply fantastic.

We did a guided tour of this palace and it was a great way to spend our morning! Lots of great history in every room. Very beautiful and interesting decor. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Florence.

One of the must-sees in the city. In the same area you can see a lot of sculptures and wonderful buildings. Florence encourages you to walk around the street and find out incredible details like the Medici family.
