We really loved this place.  Long, social tables where the other diners were eager to chat and share experiences.  There were a few single travelers who really seemed to enjoy the company as there is just so much to enjoy in Florence.  The food was amazing!  Very Florentine.  Good steaks, etc.  portions large, wine was awesome!  I highly recommend you visit this place.  Maybe require a reservation, as it gets busy!

This Osteria was recommended by our hotel.  Amazing dinner and service last night. Food was beyond expectation. We both really enjoyed the dinner here. Ravioli and the wild boar were both amazing. Would highly recommend!

8/22/24 lunch: this was a nice lunch. We had the Chitarrine (pasta, ham and tomato); and the Tortelli Ragu (Tortelli stuffed with potato served with a Florentine steak Ragu). Both were delicious! We would recommend each dish. Our server was friendly and our service was very prompt. We appreciated the fact that the menu had allergy numbers listed under the item on the menu (for those with allergies). Coperto was $3 euro each.

We ordered the cheese platter, wild boar ragu and their steak with mushroom sauce on the specials menu. Rounded it off with the tiramisu. The cheese board was nothing to write home about. The ragu and steak were exceptional! We wiped our plates clean. Outside of that, the service was a little slow at the beginning. But it picked up once we had a chance to place our order.

The service was very kind, even spoke a bit of german. However, I was never asked how I like my meat, which is very disappointing for an (somewhat) expensive steak.

The steak itself was a very solid 4. I got it bloody, but prefer it medium usually. The pasta was rather a 3.5. Nothing noteworthy.

We liked the general ambiente.
