I'll personally suggest putting this restaurant as one of the last few restaurants you'll dine at, before leaving Venice. That way, you can appreciate the beauty that this restaurant brings.

I absolutely agree with what some reviewers have also mentioned, that:
1. It was our best meal in Venice (and arguably including our time in Florence)
2. This saved our dining experience compared to the other overpriced low quality places
3. They're actually worthy of being on the Michelin Guide, unlike some other restaurants

Food menu may not be much, but they were enjoyable. The starters, mains, and wines were all top notch. It almost felt like anything we chose, would have been delightful (something we took for granted throughout our trip). Their full selection of wines were impressive, at reasonable price points. In case you get lost in their many pages, their by-glass selections were also yummy.

Best of all, I loved the service rendered by both the food expert, and the wine sommelier. Friendly, patient, offers recommendations, and explains clearly when you have questions.

Overall, for the price paid, the evening was definitely a memorable one.

Consistent with other reviews and the Michelin guide, this is a great place. Food was phenomenal (the croaker fish I had was among the best cooked I have ever eaten) with good service to match. Matching wine recommendations were also good. The apparently crispy egg is inventive and great, fettuccine very good, and as mentioned, the fish is as excellent. Would highly recommend and would come back without hesitation.

Highly recommended, amazing ambiance, delicious food and simply great service. Certainly a place to dine in Venice. Take your time to enjoy the options with a good wine.
If you feel like, try the tripe soup, really you don’t know what you are missing if you skip it.

Found this gem totally by accident. The food was spectacular. Octopus appetizer was sublime. Pasta with fondue cheese sauce was super tasty. The service was excellent. If you are looking for fine dinning in Venice, then check out this place.

This was our favourite restaurant in Venice by far!

My fiancé surprised me with a trip to Venice for my birthday and we had my birthday meal at Ai Mercanti. The atmosphere was lovely - very calm and romantic. The team were amazing and very attentive and the food was 10/10.

We started with the underground winter vegetables and the ‘apparently’ egg and both were phenomenal. We didn’t know what to expect with the egg dish but it was truly a flavour bomb.

For our mains, we got the croaker fish and quail.
The fish was probably some of the best I’ve had and my fiancé really enjoyed the quail (although it was tricky to eat)

For desserts, we ordered the chocolate interpretations which was lovely for chocolate lovers and had lots of different textures - but the star of the show was the panna cotta with meringue!

Overall a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to visit again!
