Food so good and so value for money that we ate here twice and would've eaten every meal of our trip here if we could! Service was also very friendly and accommodating, despite us being tourists and without a reservation the first time (we made sure to book ahead for the second). The restaurant is also very cozy with a great ambience.

Life-changing unmissable fish lasagna (pasticcio de pesce) and squid ink pasta (spaghetti neri alla busara), and a very good tuna steak (tagliata di tonno con verdure) with surprise vege: long beans!

Tourist tip: make a reservation, if you didn't then don't complain if you aren't offered a table.

Osteria Mocenigo is a gem for seafood lovers! Guido, the wonderful owner, goes above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. The seafood is fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. A must-visit spot for an authentic Venetian dining experience!

We got here early and we got a table thankfully cos the restaurant was full from 730 onwards. And after trying the food, we know why. The pasta Nero was mind-blowing and the Bolognese was soooo good. The spaghetti vongole was also so good. The house red? Sooo drinkable.the waiter was also really nice. Love love love this place. The bread was THE  BEST BREAD I EVER ATE!!! Very affordable too! My daughter: "can we go here every day??? Pleeeeeeaaasaaase??"

Just topped it off with a the tiramisu even though I was too full. I'm glad I ignored the wise advice of my wife. It was Tooo good.

Edit: we came a day later and it was just as good.  This time I had the wisdom to take pics. Must try the black spaghetti with busara sauce, and the tagliatelle Bolognese. The tiramisu was just as good as the day before. Oh we also had the fish soup which was today's special and oh my....

amazing black pasta with shrimps, fries calamari and house wine. for this reason went there twice. also try the ravioli with fish and pistachio- amazing 🤩

Food was very delicious but the service did not make me feel welcome.

The good:
The Aperol Spritz was a big portion.
Avocado and shrimp salad was delicious.
The black pasta with shrimp and tomatoes came out hot and the flavor of the tomatoes was very fresh. Pasta tasted fresh too. Very flavorful.

The bad:
I am a solo traveler and was recommended this location in a tour.
The restaurant was busy when I arrived at 8pm and I was asked to leave because it was full. I asked if I can wait and was told no. However, they were accommodating other groups of two people or more without a reservation. I suspected it's because I am a solo traveler that would take up a table that can seat two (not sure). While I was looking for another place to eat on my phone, a waiter told me they can make me a seat in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, I was called in. It took a long time for the waiter to take my order. At this point it has been 50 minutes since arriving at the restaurant. Unfortunately all the appetizers or main dish I wanted to try were unavailable. So I only ordered one main dish. Then I was told that they have a two plate minimum, and the waiter recommended the two dishes that was the two most expensive items on the menu. Perhaps it was actually a genuine recommendation...but seemed strange to me in this circumstance. I hesitantly ordered a second dish.
I understand that the restaurant is busy but I felt like a nuisance to them due to the service. Would have been a 5 star review if the service was more accommodating and genuine.
