Good restaurant tucked deep into Venice. Great atmosphere. The staff was very attentive (perhaps too attentive at times) and very nice. Smoked ricotta raviolis were excellent. Would highly recommend if you like unique pasta dishes. Rossini style steak was very good atop a bed of vegetables. Finally, we were promised the best tiramisu in Italy and while it wasn’t the best, it was very good. My friend got the spangetti with clams with were good but with few clams. All in all, I would visit again

This was our second official dinner restaurant in the city of Venice -in Italy.  We came across this restaurant by looking at The dynamic reviews that it had.

Atmosphere:

It was a very welcoming atmosphere with warm lights, strung across the top of the ceilings.  The decor was of a rustic Italian theme with well designed brick walls.  The waitstaff was never overwhelming-neither were they out in the alley coaxing in business, as in other cases in Venice.

Waitstaff:

Very professional right from the beginning.  Helped us select great meals served our wine appropriately, but never overbearing.   Medo was very personable and checked in with us a few times.  He was also quick to describe the meals and was excited about serving us the tiramisu - as he proferes it to be the best in Italy!  I have seen other reviews where it is noted that the weight staff took a long time to serve, but that was not the case tonight.

Food:

The evening started great with fresh delicious bread serves at  table side.  Next came ,as a four parts selection , an appetizer plate consisting of local cheeses, which my wife and I really enjoyed.
Next came the entrées which included Carbonaro pasta , Fruto Del Maré,  and Filet Steak with brown sauce.  The carbonara pasta was creamy and contained crispy bits of bacon which added to the flavor.  The seafood plate was also delicious with long and excellently spiced prawns.  My wife enjoyed a delicious steak, which was very tender and made to order.   The waiter was right about the tiramisu, which was just sweet enough, and the crème brûlée was adorned with a nice surface flame that the waiter put on it.  Chilled lemon cello and a decaf cappuccino topped off the meals.  The bill came to €150 and was well worth it for three.

The waiter escorted us out, held the door for us and was very thankful for our patronage.  I would consider this one of the best Italian restaurants that we have eaten.

Ristorante Da Carletto exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, Arsany, our server and host, provided outstanding service, guiding us through an unforgettable dining experience. Every detail was perfect, and the meal was exceptional. Highly recommended!

We had Christmas Eve dinner here on our first night in Venice based on Google reviews and an Italy travel FB group recs and it was wonderful!

We started with the selection of cheese and an amazing Barolo wine. The seafood spaghetti was fabulous as was the lobster pasta. The tiramisu was not overly sweet, but light and fluffy and just lovely!

The service was great- polite, friendly and we felt welcome to stay as long as we desired despite it being a holiday. The restaurant itself is small and charming. Def make a reservation so you don’t miss out! So far this has been our best meal in Venice!

The best meal in Venice. True authentic Italian food, not like the tourist trap places. The food, the drinks, dessert, the atmosphere were all perfect. Must eat here while in Venice.
