We stopped by for dinner on Christmas Day and the food was outstanding. The octopus appetizer was some of the best cooked octopus I have ever had. The texture was buttery and it was soft with the perfect amount of firmness. The sauce was amazing and the plating was beautiful. We had the pasta special for our main. It was a shrimp and mushroom pasta. It was also delicious and left us very full.

Don't recommend the food at all.

This was the worst place we eaten in Venice over 5 days. Such a shame as I came here through the reviews on Google and TRIPADVISOR (which i don't understand the rating...)

Pasta was really bland and not a lot of scampi. The fried fish platter was very oily. The prawns haven't been cleaned properly as we had to remove the waste pipe on them whilst eating. Was definitely a rip off and 5€ charge pp for table... a joke. That's the highest I've had in Venice and this was the furthest out from the more central restaurants.

Service was nice and outside ambience decent. Toilets were better than the food tbh.

Amazing food and fantastic service in a really lovely restaurant. Couldn't have chosen better for our first night in Venice.

I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Sant’Angelo, located in a charming corner of Venice. The outdoor seating was a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful Venetian atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to a delightful experience.

I ordered the grilled salmon with a side of spinach and crispy French fries. The salmon was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, yet tender and moist on the inside. It was served with a light drizzle of olive oil and a colorful beet puree that added a pleasant earthy sweetness to the dish. The portion was generous, and the presentation was beautiful, with vibrant colors and a creative layout on the plate.

The spinach was fresh and lightly seasoned, balancing the richness of the salmon. The French fries were golden, crisp, and nicely salted—simple but satisfying.

For €46, including drinks, it felt like a fair price for both the quality and the experience. I would highly recommend stopping by Ristorante Sant’Angelo for a well-prepared meal with authentic Venetian charm.

Zero Stars – A Complete Tourist Trap! Avoid at All Costs!

If you’re looking for an overpriced, underwhelming meal in Venice, this is the place for you. We got lured in by the location and seemingly decent menu, but it turned out to be a classic tourist scam.

I ordered the carbonara, and it was barely edible—bland, lacking any real flavor, and certainly not made the traditional way. My wife had the mixed fried fish, which was so bad she couldn’t even finish it. The quality was terrible, and it tasted like it had been sitting in old oil for hours.

To top it off, the portions were ridiculously small for the exorbitant prices they charge. And the biggest insult? As soon as we sat down, they brought us a basket of bread without mentioning that it wasn’t complimentary. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see a €10 charge for the bread—something that every other restaurant in Venice offers for free.

The only saving grace was the polite staff, but even they couldn't make up for the awful food and blatant price gouging. Save yourself the disappointment and find a real Italian restaurant instead. This place is a disgrace to Venetian cuisine!
