Opened at 2pm on a Sunday and was the first customer to try out Odoleste which is on Michelin's list for Bilbao. Staff was super helpful and explained each dish and how to properly eat it per the Chef's vision.

Just when you think you had their best dish, it kept getting better and better. I chose Basurde set menu for €65/p and opted for the cheese plate as well.

For a first time Bilbao visitor, I highly recommend dropping by.

Just remember to check their menu via their site as it supposedly changes based on availability of supplies and that there is no Ala Carte option.

A great modern Basque place in Bilbao. We went for the bigger tasting menu and everything was fantastic. Cooked and seasoned perfectly.

We liked all the dishes, but some of them were a bit lacking for a Michelin Star restaurant. We did the menu set using The Fork. The best part was trying to figure out what each dish had because they spoke little English, so it was hard for us to understand what they were saying. I would recommend having a little  menu or paper with the ingredients in English. I will forever remember this place because we ate something I never thought I'd eat: the ice cream!! Try to guess what it is for yourself.

How is this place not booked solid every night? We speak pretty much no Spanish and the staff's English isn't strong -- we got by fine with Google translate and a lot of laughing. We had the smaller of the two tasting menus and that was plenty of food. The meal was well-paced with plenty of time to enjoy each course. The staff were absolutely lovely and made sure we picked wine we liked that went with our food. Oh -- the food? Ridiculous. It was creative where it needed to be while making the ingredients shine.. Every bite was delicious -- like lick-the-plate good! If you're thinking about going, book it!

We have visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch at the end of September. We booked in advance via Fork and took the Txerri menu. There were four starters in the menu, each worth to be tasted. The main course options were pork and duck both were good, less sophisticated experience than with the starters. The dessert we have selected was lemon-basil ice cream with sweet pesto - simply amazing, one of the best restaurant dessert we ever tasted. Excellent cooking, portions of the starters were a little too big.
