While the place is nice and the service was good. The taste of the food was a disappointment. Its looked very good as you can see in the pictures but it didn’t taste as expected.

Loved it! No overwrought interior design, no Influencers, no Peruvian pastiche fusion nigiri, no "parte del Grupo blah blah de Mexico" or any of the other sad trappings of the 2024 Madrid restaurant scene...Just amazing food from good ingredients, an attentive team, and a stellar wine list! They've been going for 5 years so far and let's hope they're still here in another 50! Oh, and did I mention the best croquetas de jamón ibérico anywhere!? (Yes, literally, they won an award!)... If Bourdain were still alive, Quinqué would be his new favorite haunt in Madrid...

Long story short: my Spanish husband made a reservation for me and 2 friends for my birthday. I was there when he made it, and it was clear that it was for 3 people, and they even confirmed the day prior to the reservation. I showed up, and was told that the reservation was for 2 people only and that they “didn’t have space for us”, and implied that we would have to leave. I put my husband on the phone and the situation was resolved, but not without issue, and I never received an apology, and my friends and I received cold treatment all night. Own up to mistakes and apologize to customers - you are a business that serves the general public, including foreigners (my friends and I are not Spanish, however, we are tax paying residents here). In addition to poor service, the food was average. I won’t return and won’t recommend to my friends.
