If you can forgive that sometimes service is not great because of the very large number of customers they serve daily and that not all of them are professionals of hospitality, I would say this is the best restaurant in Getaria. Definitely so if just evaluating the food quality, taste, cooking point and portions. In addition to the grilled fish (turbot is the most popular, besugo my favourite), the daily specials are fantastic, like fresh anchovies.

Great food, but just ok service.. If you want better you must go to Elkano, a hard to get reservation in the same town. Get the grilled rodaballo.This place is also operating since the 60s like Elkano nearby. Great wine selection with the grill is outside, which is typical of the region. Not happy with the waitress which was poorly trained or was just lazy, service in Spain is very different from the U.S., we are well aware of that, but in this case it was really bad.

Overpriced tourist trap. 40 euros per tiny langoustine. Asked how much it would cost but the bill should never come as a surprise. If you want nice fish in Getaria you should go for Elkano not here

Unflamboyantly positioned in a quiet seaside town in the Basque sits this gem. A comprehensive seafood and turf menu awaits in true basque fashion mostly cooked over hot coals.
I would particularly recommend the Basque cheesecake.
It is expensive however, so be prepared to shell out.

Delicious food and accommodating staff. We ordered the turbot, which was grilled and doused in olive oil. It had a wonderful meaty and buttery texture and the size of the portions were very filling for two! To accompany this, we had the tuna tataki and a side salad. We finished the evening with a raspberry puff pastry and cheese ice cream, both of which I would highly recommend.
