It was 5 of us, we came in search of the best pork meal in the Basque Country and we found it. The tasting menu was an outstanding tribute to this sacred animal. Every course features a different part of the pork with pairings that are so thought through, from super traditional to creative and innovative. Wine list based on local gems (wouldn't expect anything different) with ridiculously fair mark ups: prices are not far from shop ones. If you have a passion for food, particularly for pork, can't miss this place!

Definitivamente este es mi restaurante favorito. La comida fue buenísima y el servicio mejor. La tiendita de fuera también está genial, muy recomendable. Por supuesto que volveré.

Llegamos a mascaradas tras ver una reseñas de ser un restaurante algo distinto en su forma de trabajar las distintas partes del euskaltxerri. El servicio fue muy amable y correcto en todo momento con las diferentes explicaciones de los platos.
Tienen dos menús degustación para elegir uno largo y uno más corto y nosotros elegimos el largo.
La verdad es que nos gustó todos los platos sobre todo los platos de panceta y tocino.
El que menos nos hizo gracia fue el de corteza de piel de cerdo con una salsa perrins y una ralladura de lima.
La verdad creo que es un restaurante por lo menos para ir una vez al año para degustar las distintas partes y elaboraciones del cerdo.

We came to Masquerades after seeing reviews of it being a somewhat different restaurant in its way of working on the different parts of Euskaltxerri. The service was very friendly and correct at all times with the different explanations of the dishes.
They have two tasting menus to choose from, one long and one shorter and we chose the long one.
The truth is that we liked all the dishes, especially the pancetta and bacon dishes.
The one we liked the least was the pork skin crust with a perrins sauce and a lime zest.
The truth is that I think it is a restaurant to go to at least once a year to taste the different parts and preparations of the pig.
