We are not finished with our holiday yet but WOW! Everything about this hotel is perfect! I've been to a different hotels around the world and Hotel Sonne is probably one of my best experience. Thank you so much for the very warm welcome Hotel Sonne Management 🙏❤️

Ideally located in Zermatt for access to hiking routes, Gornogratt railway, and the cable cars as well as shopping. The room was stunning with a view I wish I could have taken home with me. It is truly a lovely place to stay. The swimming pool was a welcome treat after a day out, and even the outdoor jacuzzi was a nice feature. My one complaint is the soft pillows. However, even that can be overlooked on the grand scheme of things. Would certainly aim to come back.

Stayed with hotel Sonne from 22nd to 25th of December 2024.

All I can say is everything’s perfect. Staff was helpful and kind, room’s wonderful, view was spectacular and especially the hotel is pet friendly. 😃😃

My fiancé and I had a really great time at this hotel. We stayed in a beautiful suite that was clean, comfortable, and had everything you need a hotel room to have. I got a massage at the spa, and I was so comfortable and relaxed. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the indoor pool. Breakfast was very good. The bartender was extremely friendly. The front desk staff were very helpful with booking tickets and calling the taxi service for us, and they held onto our bags for several hours before our check in time and after we had checked out so we could do some things in town without needing to get a locker. Easy walk from anything you want to do or see. Only downside was how limited the hours for the spa/pool were. They closed at 7 or 8pm which was really too early.

We travelled and stayed here as part of a group. Hotel was in a quiet location but up quite a steep hill.

Hotel had an indoor pool and a couple of hot tubs, one outside. They were very nice facilities along with a small gym.

Rooms were a little dated but functional.

We had upgraded our room to a mini suite but on arrival there was no tea and coffee in the room. It is listed as a facility on the hotel website. To cut  a long story short, as we were part of a group we were not entitled to some facilities including the tea and coffee. All the other hotels we stayed in on this tour had tea and coffee in the room.

It seems unfair to withdraw some facilities just because we were part of a group,  especially as we had paid to upgrade. This was also apparent when we checked out when luggage was due to be transported to the station but as part of a group we had to pay extra. We declined.

Some of the staff were very friendly while some quite grumpy. The manager was not very helpful when trying to resolve issues.

Food was OK...but again, the buffet at breakfast was different if you were not travelling as part of a group.

Overall a below average stay and we would not stay here again.
