It is so worthy of spending a day there.
So big with so great collections.
It is much beyond our expectations with all the famous painters' works.
The special exhibitions are also great (We visited the Matthew Wong & Vincent van Gogh talk)

I spent 2 hours at this beautiful museum.  There were 2 additional exhibits you had to pay for besides general admission, so I chose to see the Van Gogh/ Wong exhibit.  It was eery how similar their lives were and their ideas of vibrant colors.  Both artists started creating art later in life and committed suicide around the same age.  There was one painting by Wong that would easily have been identified as a Van Gogh.  There was a fascinating but controversial collection of art from the collector Emil Bührle.  Emil collected mostly impressionist works.  So there were Monet's, Manet's,  Van Gogh's, Cezzane's, Renoir's, and so many more to include Picasso and other works not part of impressionism.  What I saw was very different types of work from famous artists.  It's such an amazing collection.  The artists signature style was there, but I saw more range in the work.  There was a cool modern art section complete with pop artist Andy Warhol.   If you love art, you will truly enjoy this myseum.  Two hours is enough time.  The last painting in black and white is a Jackson Pollack.

It’s great! The visit was absolutely worth it. We also had a tour and learned many interesting things, especially about the buildings. A large and beautiful collection that you can see in Zurich.

the best museum I’ve seen around the world. Not just the art pieces it shows, but the museum it self is a piece of art. All the walls the tail, you can tell they really put effort into it no matter how small the detail is. Wednesday is free too! Took me 2 whole hours! If you are someone who will read all the detail descriptions, plan for 3-4 hrs. Just wish they could have some special magnum stands for the museum itself. Suprisingly they don’t have good magnums.
