There isn't a single bar in Toronto that comes even remotely close to to matching the all around experience of Cocktail Bar. This place is perfect for a date, perfect for a quick beer and a shot, perfect for sitting at the bar and sipping through the well curated spirits list. It predates basically all of the true cocktail bars downtown and is somehow still one of the coolest spots to get a proper drink.

The quality of the cocktails, the ambience, and the value are all in a league of their own. Beyond that, not only are the bartenders some of the best in the city, but they're also all around lovely people.

Go here IMMEDIATELY. Actually.... no, don't go. Leave space for me.

I almost don't want to write this review because honestly this place is one of those spots that is getting harder and harder to get into, and I don't want it to get any harder...but they deserve a good review because they're a great business.

Solid drinks, fair prices, amazing atmosphere. I love it here and despite drinking less as I get older, when I do want a drink, this local neighbourhood gem is where I choose to do it.

Walked in to cocktail bar for the first time, was completely full. The hostess greeted me so quick and was so welcoming to finding me a spot at the bar. I loved my Mai tai, and the lovers rock was delicious. Didn’t know what to expect since it was so busy. Flor and Niels are stars!

Went by for birthday drinks on a Saturday evening. Arrived around 7:30 to a full bar. Luckily we arrived as another group was leaving.

Staff were welcoming, friendly, calm, and confident.

Soundtrack was a very funny mix of Dad Rock given the room vibe and median age.of both clientele and staff.

The staff were attentive, relaxed, poised, professional, aware, and fun. I also like that this bar had enough staff to do the work that needed doing without rushing. A vacation should feel like a vacation. My 90 min at cocktail bar felt that way.

Best of all, they made great drinks! Both booze free and booze filled, strong and mild.

A very thorough and thoughtful cocktail list. Fun descriptions. Fun flavors. Really fine attention to detail both in ingredients and presentation.
