Had one of the most incredible meals of my life here. I ordered the more veggie-forward tasting menu, and I was so full about two courses in. The service from Nancy (with occasional help from Raymundo) was impeccable—the staff truly set the bar for what service should be. The cauliflower with their white mole was out of this world, and the other dishes were similarly delicious. The desserts were incredible. Stellar cocktails as well. The decor and ambiance is lovely, and equally perfect for a romantic evening or a night out with friends. The pacing was perfect, and the flavor combinations were so memorable. I absolutely recommend adding Bajel to your CDMX itinerary!

It was a recommendation from a friend and it was a wonderful surprise. The dinner was spectacular, especially one of the desserts, which was perfectly balanced. Alonso Vidal, the chef, came to the table and thank us for visiting. We like to eat in the best restaurants around the world and we predict a great future for this one. Many thanks to the team that served us (Nancy, Ray, Diego, Amed, Irais, & Susan).

Cannot stop raving about it. The food, experience, service and ambience all exceeded expectations and truly lived up to the hype. Wonderful service by our host, Raymond. Even got to meet the Chef.

Every dish the comes is better than the previous. I will be recommending this to everyone who visits the city.

If you are looking for an outstanding gastronomic experience, Bajel is the place to go. From the moment you enter and see the views of the city, to the open kitchen which allows you to be part of the creation process, and the thought behind each plate.

I had the “clarity and depth” menu and it was beyond compare. Starting with a mezcal cardamom watermelon bite, every plate had something singular. The mix of unexpected flavors like beet root and lobster, the “glass” vail effect over steak, or the use of wasabi in a dessert made every bite a stunning experience. Each dish was exceptionally executed and had a story to tell.

The plates that blew my mind were the royale elote for its presentation and texture, the mole blanco for its rich flavor which I couldn’t get enough of, and the green apple sorbet with wasabi.

I’ve been to Michelin star restaurants and Bajel does not fall short. Huge thanks to the service team, specially Raymundo for making it a unique experience and my congratulations to Chef Alonso Vidal for his gastronomic proposal, truly a dinner to remember.

While I am usually not a fan of hotel restaurants when traveling, Bajel provides a quality fine dining option in a refined location, with great views over the Reforma.

The menu is price fixe, with a set number of smaller courses. The portions for each course are smaller and typical of a tasting menu, but provides the right amount of food at the end of the meal. The food can best be described as "traditional Mexican with a French twist", with the star of the show being the white mole. The cocktails were also well prepared, using local ingredients.

The service here was the best I have yet experienced in Mexico, with the waiter and restaurant being extremely attentive and helpful to describe each course. There is an open kitchen, and the chef would frequently come out to greet the guests. All the staff appeared very enthused for their restaurant.

The dining room was half-full on a Saturday night, and no reservations were needed. One of the reasons may be a higher price point than much of Mexico City, but the cost is still significantly lower for a similar quality experience in other major cities such as New York. Another reason may be that Sofitel seems conflicted in the marketing of what should be a signature restaurant.
