I saw it has a higher rating yelp so I went to their website to order for pick up. The pictures look enticing. Ordering online was easy and the pick up was smooth. However, food smells like the meat was about to get spoiled. We ordered honey sauce ribs, spicy chili wonton, and Lu Rou Fan. The ribs were soft but smelled bad. I also couldn’t taste the honey. I requested the chili on the side but when I opened the foam container, the chili was put on top of the wonton, lastly, the pork belly smelled the same as the ribs. Overall, the family would like to pass Happy Bao’s.

Highly recommend the fried baos with sesame at the bottom. Food was delicious and came out fast.

Mala noodle soup and soup dumplings were ok, I would skip them next time.

We also bought frozen dumplings to go! 60 for $35.

Happy Bao’s is consistently delicious and has the best “mouth-numbing” spices I’ve had in the Valley! If you’re not sure what to eat here, try the Spicy Lovers Combo (not very spicy— just delicious!) and their soup dumplings.

I really wanted to love this place, but imo it did not live to the expectation. This place is overly hyped. The food is good but not the greatest. Still a good experience, and I'd still encourage anyone to try it, it's good food just not the most flavorful. The spicy chili dumplings were really good tho, I just which they added more chili oil, and fyi it is NOT spicy.

The food tastes good, but it's too pricey for the amount of meat you're getting, with a lot of fillers to make the plate look full. For example, the beef chow fun has more flat noodles than actual beef. While they tried to create an appetizing atmosphere, the place is quite cramped.

The shredded ginger is tasty, but the portion is small, though we didn’t ask for another serving. The chopsticks are oddly shaped and not well tapered, making it hard to tell which end is which. They're also made of plastic, which could be improved by using disposable wooden chopsticks which are more hygienic

The plates are too small, and bowls should be offered instead of flat plates for easier eating. On the positive side, the service is good, and the place is clean and well-maintained. Despite the high turnover of patrons, the tables are well cleaned, which is commendable.
