First of all, it is extremely difficult to make a reservation. 😅😅😅

It took us TWO YEARS to finally dinning at this exquisite restaurant.😅😅

The service is absolutely excellent! And it is not bad at all to enjoy your omakase on the patio. They have an under table heater so you won't feel cold.👍👍👍

Parking is only street parking.

This humble looking Japanese restaurant is actually a Michelin One Star.

The only way to make a reservation is via their reservation partner. They will send you an email notification like two hours ahead of your reservation.

However, you have to really "fast hand" to confirm your reservation. If you are like a sloth, you will never be able to complete your reservation.🤭🤭🤭

And, they will charge a deposit of $25/ person when the reservation is confirmed.

Eating here was a transcendent experience.  I can't describe it in words. This place is not over-hyped, it's everything you're looking for in an omakase experience in the US and more.  The service was next level, everything tasted fresh and refreshing, and found new dishes that I fell in love with and didn't know existed before.

I really wish I could give Soichi more than 5 stars because everything was beyond amazing. We sat at one of the tables outside which was such a vibe.

I highly recommend ordering one of the Omakase meals because they will bring out the chef’s picks for each course. Every single plate we received was incredible. The servers did an excellent job at explaining what each dish was.

10/10 recommend - it’s definitely worth the hype.

Absolutely exceptional! I am visiting SD for a work trip, and went to SOICHI after asking a local for a sushi recommendation. I got the Nigiri Omakase and it was worth every dollar. The staff were so friendly, each dish and piece of sushi was an experience, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was wonderful. I am really glad I treated myself to this for my final meal here. The restaurant itself is small, so make a reservation well ahead of time. I took a gamble by going without on, and fortunately they were able to accommodate me at an outdoor table, but seating is limited, so plan ahead. Sit at the bar for an enhanced experience (I was able to watch the chefs through the window here and there, but I felt a bit like a voyeur haha). Seriously, such a great place.
