Hey y’all, I’m from Salinas about an hour or two away from La Ciccia! I made a Reservation at La Ciccia for my best friend’s birthday for a table of 13. Making a reservation was easy, I was able to get the assistance I needed and all my questions answered through phone calls and text messages! Upon walking in, we were greeted very kindly and quickly seated inside of this lovely establishment. The environment was beautiful and cozy! The service was amazing and each dish was described with great detail. Our plates were served beautifully and clean. I wanted  to thank our servers again and lovely Cheryl for the amazing hospitality. I will definitely be returning and brining my boyfriend, I know he will love it as much as I do!

Had the best evening at La Ciccia, and every dish and the wine were all delicious.  Cheryl and team are lovely, very warm and welcoming. Here’s what we ordered:

Starters: calamari, the oven roasted prawns
Mains: pasta special of the day, and the spaghetti spicy olive oil with bottariga

All were so flavorful and complex, will order everything again. Forgot what wine we had but it was recommended by our server.

Had been wanting to try this place for a while - the service was great and the ambiance was cozy (except for the front entrance, there was no waiting area and lots of people were crowded waiting for their tables throughout the night).

We ordered the roasted calamari for an appetizer which was well seasoned, and 2 pastas. The spicy oil salmon roe had a great texture, but unfortunately did not like the overall flavor - was much too olive forward which made it bitter. Secondly we had the fettuccine with sea urchin, and similarly that flavor was lacking something. Overall it’s a solid place but wouldn’t come again. For the prices, you could go to Itria which is much tastier

It was good, problem is there is SO much great in SF. Really enjoyed the Burrata. The gnocchi seemed more like shell pasta (we even asked 😂), great flat bread. Spaghetti was good. Nothing was a home run. Maybe the flat bread.

I have been to Sardinia, I do understand the type of food it is. Instead of addressing issues, this is the reason your once impossible to get into restaurant is easy to get a same day reservation. Good food is good food and great food is great food and you don't need to understand it to know it. I have not been to Korea or Japan or China and am able to determine good from great. I think you have it in you, time to up your game. Believe it or not, I'd love nothing more than to see you succeed).

solid pastas and italian food served in a lowkey and neighborhood feel setting. the entire experience felt like going to a family owned restaurant with modest decor and extremely friendly service. the food itself was above average, using fresh ingredients at a fair price. overall, would come back and really enjoyed with great value for cost.

roasted calamari: different than your typical fried calamari, but delicious. dip the bread in the squid sauce.

spaghetti and fish roe: reminiscent of the mentaiko spaghetti at bon,nene, this dish was creamy + full of umami flavor.

fettuccini sea urchin: well made dish but a little forgettable. similar flavor profile to spaghetti.

potato gnocchi: must try dish! gnocchi was perfectly fluffy and the pasta sauce was rich and creamy.

Fantastisk middag på La Ciccia på baksidan uteplats. Maten var fantastisk, Servicen var uppmärksam, varm och professionell. Jag tänker fortfarande på bläckfisken och gnocchin vi åt. Jag rekommenderar starkt La Ciccia om du är i San Francisco!

Maten var bortom utmärkt! Som sagt, restaurangen är trångt och bullrigt, svårt att höra dina bordskamrater. Servicen var något långsam, och räkningen kom med en extra flaska vin till det. Lätt korrigerat efter några ursäkter, de lägger till en 5% påslag för att använda ett kreditkort.

Vi gick till den sardiska köket lokala restaurangen La Ciccia igår kväll för en fantastisk middag. Vi bodde i San Francisco i över 20 år och flyttade till New Mexico för ca 12 år sedan men försöker alltid komma till la Ciccia när vi är i stan. För några år sedan sålde de ursprungliga ägarna restaurangen till ett lokalt fan, Sheryl, när de ville ta livet lite lugnare. Sheryl har inte bara upprätthållit atmosfären, maten OCH den långa tidens personal, men har faktiskt ökat spelet på välkomnande gästfrihet! Bravo Sheryl och vi kommer tillbaka lika ofta som vi är i stan! P. S. Var noga med att kolla in inte bara den fantastiska maten (missa inte det sardinska tunnbrödet) utan en riktigt välkurerad italiensk vinlista.

Älskade denna måltid. . . utanför misshandlad väg och skulle inte ha hittat den som besökare till staden. Beställde för mycket mat. . . en underbar sallad, ansjovis förrätt, räkor, pasta. Mycket kul. . . valde fel vin och de var villiga att byta ut det men vi behöll det. Det var en sardinsk special.

Vi ser fram emot att äta på denna mycket berömda restaurang och var åh så besviken. Den övergripande nedgången skulle bli tunghänt. Den första kursen, rostade Monterey Calamari Basil Oil Greens simmade i en oljemulsion. Rigatoni med reggiano och tryffel var tjock och intetsägande, ingen smak av ost eller tryffel. Lammet drunknade i örter och balsaminsås - - så mycket så att smaken av lammet knappt kom igenom, och blomkålen var kryddig utan att anmälas i förväg. Rummet var tappat och högt. På toppen av maten missar var det dyrt. Med så många perfekta, opretentiösa, italienska restauranger i San Francisco, som Tony, Pazzia, Perbacco, Delfina, The Italian Homemade Company och en massa andra hade vi hoppats på en sardisk restaurang.

Den enda italienska sardiska restaurangen i San Francisco. Ägarna driver restaurangen med mannen som kock och hans fru i framsidan av huset. Maten är utmärkt med dagliga specialerbjudanden som ofta innehåller skaldjur. Alltid kan rekommendera dagens specialerbjudanden. Vinen från Sardinien är bra, rimligt pris och det finns ett omfattande urval. Be om vin och livsmedel rekommendationer och du kommer att vara nöjd.
Det är ett litet utrymme som kan bli för högljudd med lite armbågsrum.
