Z&Y Restaurant in San Francisco is a great Saturday vibe. I was seated right away, and the server was kind and helpful—he made sure to ask if I had any questions before taking my order. The place has this cozy yet energetic feel, with lots of people chatting and enjoying their meals. It’s busy but not chaotic, which I was nervous about when I read previous reviews.

Service was quick, the atmosphere was warm.

I ordered Jasmine Tea with Spicy dumplings & the Tea Smoked Duck. Food was amazing! I would recommend what I ordered!

After a less than ideal experience at another Chinatown restaurant, I was hoping that I’d get a better experience here. I’d heard good things about Z&Y.

My group made a reservation a couple of days in advance, and upon arriving, it made sense. Unlike other restaurants, this place was packed. We were seated quickly, but they crammed us in pretty good.

The food itself was above average. I found the frog legs and fish to be tasty, but not phenomenal, especially for the relatively premium prices.

What really annoyed me is that they also include a 10% service charge on top of their already high prices. As out of towners, we asked what this was for, and they said that the state required it. We later discovered that this wasn’t true.

The food was good, but I don’t like being misled.

Super-packed, to an almost extreme extent with little space between tables; Michelin Guide in 2021. Our order was taken before we were seated since it was so full.

The pancake with beef appetizer was pretty good, with a crispy outside and nice filling inside. The beef and shrimp fried rice were both pretty good, but the real star was the House whole fish (black bass), which was piping hot, fresh, and had that signature numbing effect.

Food was great, but be cautious of heading down during the busiest season since it can be pretty extreme haha!

I had such a great experience at Y AND Z restaurant! Everything we tried was seriously delicious and felt so high-quality. The orange chicken was just perfect—crispy on the outside with a sauce that was spot-on, not too thick or too runny. And the pork soup dumplings? Amazing. They paired perfectly with the plum vinegar, which added just the right kick.

We also ordered the truffle fried rice, and wow, it was something special! Different from what you usually get at a Chinese restaurant, but in the best way possible. To top it off, we had chrysanthemum tea, and they actually serve it with whole flowers in the cup, which was such a cute touch. It was warm and comforting, especially on a chilly Sunday night. I’ll definitely be coming back to Y AND Z!

Besökte efter att ha läst TA recensioner. Blev uo 20 minuter efter öppning och fick gå på reservlistan, 30 minuter vänta. Poppade i en liten bar över vägen medan vi väntade. Bordet var klart och den anspråkslösa restaurangen var full av turister och lokalbefolkningen. Maten var utmärkt, och personalen var mycket uppmärksam. Wow! Maten är fantastisk och det finns några överraskningar i presentationen! Honungsvalnötsräkan kommer över torris och är en brännpunkt när den kommer fram till ditt bord. Oxsvansarna var otroligt smakrika och rikliga. 

Vi satt vid ett delat bord och träffade en herre från Italien och ett par från New Hampshire. Det var så roligt; väl värt resan till Chinatown.

Baserat på tidigare omdömen från TripAdvisor. Blev inte besviken. Kannan med grönt te och ångade fläskknyten var fantastisk. Den orange kycklingen var den bästa jag någonsin ätit. Vi var tvungna att lämna vårt namn i receptionen och vänta på att kallas - ungefär en halvtimme. Det fanns ett anständigt urval av rätter. Mycket tråkig upplevelse. Alla rätter var extremt salta — så salta att de nästan var oätliga. Även såsen inuti nötköttsrullen var outhärdligt salt. Efter måltiden drack jag två stora kannor vatten men kände ändå en brännande salt känsla i munnen tre timmar senare. Det var så illa att mina smaklökar faktiskt gjorde ont. 
Jag har ingen aning om varför denna restaurang har ett högt betyg — maten var inte bra alls. De stekta kycklingbitarna var överkokta och torra. 
Maten var också för dyrt: runt $ 90 för bara tre rätter. 
Sammantaget är jag extremt missnöjd och kommer definitivt inte att komma tillbaka.

OK, så det är inte billigt, alls, men det är kvalitetsmat, atmosfären är bra, särskilt när du äter där under kinesiska nyåret och brand kex går ut med några minuters mellanrum (och utlöser billarm) , men personalen var glad, var beskyddarna också. 
Så det var ett helt underbart sätt att tillbringa en kväll i San Francisco.

Mycket välsmakande kinesiskt kök i den kinesiska staden SF. Atmosfären är inte särskilt mysig, lite upptagen men det är en del av charmen. Du kommer inte att stanna för länge i alla fall - maten serveras snabbt.

Efter att ha hört bra saker om Z&Y, gjorde jag en bokning och bad vänner att gå med för en dubbel date. Vi beställde kryddiga dumplings, peking stekt anka, kyckling med explosiv chilipeppar, ärtgroddar, korta revben och räkor (det ser ut som en ekorre? ! ). Varje rätt var helt utsökt. Det här är den bästa kinesiska maten jag någonsin ätit. Jag har drömt om den här maten sedan vi åt där och jag hoppas kunna åka tillbaka snart.

Priset är något högt eftersom priserna är höga i San Francisco. Gå dit!

Värsta restaurangen i USA! Seriöst jag har aldrig haft servitör & manager kom till mig skrika på mig bara för att jag påpekade deras rätter är för salt! 
Vi beställer mycket mat och alla är SÅ SÅ SÅ salta. Vi försökte vara artiga påpekade inte i början då det blir värre och värre så vi fick beställa om och servitör att inte lägga i något salt. De tog inte bara betalt för inget salt tillsatt (löjligt giriga och pengar hungriga) men också kom till vårt bord skrek på oss! 
Jag tror definitivt att de återvunnit våra överblivna rätter blandat med annan mat försöker späda ut saltet. 
Gå aldrig dit! Det är äckligt med dåliga tjänster!

Gick idag. Fick höra 30 minuters väntan. Väntade en timme. De hade förbisett vårt namn. 
Maten var inte värt att vänta. 
Jag har skaldjursgrytan. Det var hemskt. Bläckfisken var väldigt tuggig och Bit i en lotusgrönsak av något slag och vår mun pirrade och var inte god. Har ätit bättre apelsinkyckling och nudlar annars där. Blev besviken med säkerhet. Inte värt hypen. Vi såg vår server först när hon tog emot vår beställning. Ingen kollade till oss. 
Vi var tvungna att flagga någon för att betala vår check.

Jag har den rökta teankan. Först och främst visar $ 28 på webbplatsen, men $ 35 personligen på menyn. Det var en färg på utsidan, och grå på insidan vilket betyder att det var behandlat med kemikalier för att hålla det fräscht. Men även på $ 35 de vill fortfarande ta ut $ 10 . 00 för sex små pannkakor och en handfull gröna lökar att slå in den i - egentligen $ 10. 00 ? De gillar att sno och sno dig här, ta 30 cent för en take home box, och $ 12 . 00 för en kanna vanligt jasminte! Servitrisen var bara helt ointresserad av att vara där, vår server verkade bara irriterad över att han ens hade att göra med oss. Min man var tvungen att gå tillbaka till köket bara för att be om en gaffel, eftersom servern glömde oss. 

Min mans glas husvin var verkligen snålt det stekta riset var bara medelmåttigt. Efter all hype det här stället fick, förväntade jag mig åtminstone god mat, och jag hoppades på bra service, jag fick ingendera. Även restaurangen var iskall, och toaletterna obevakade.

Allt är bra på menyn (som vi hade) , och vi provade en hel del saker. Ankan var så god. Min nya go - att upptäcka när nästa gång jag besöker Chinatown i San Fran👍🏾
