Boyfriend and I went here after reserving for Saturday night, 7:30pm. It was a nice atmosphere:
- music: good volume, not distracting, good choices
- server: attentive, knowledgeable, pleasant

The fried chicken skin was amazing. This was the best duck dish I've ever had. The Mac n cheese was insane. I loved the cornbread and yaya gumbo. 10/10

The ambiance, food, and drinks were all absolutely on point. I would definitely recommend the pimento cheese which came with the most delicious pickled watermelon and okra. Also the sweet potato biscuits are to die for- you should order them even if you think you can only take one bite. Coming here felt like getting a big warm hug both because of the food and the really wonderful and friendly service. You should go!!!

I have been here three times and have loved each visit. There are a few vegetarian items, so each time I’ve gotten the tomato and goat cheese omelet.  The goat cheese is rich and perfect, and I love the side of cheese grits.  I also always love to get an order of fresh buttermilk biscuits.  Big Jones never disappoints.  My only suggestion would be to expand the coffee menu to include espresso drinks.
